Evening all, im offering a Paddy Power style special until 10 am tomorrow. I am offering 1/20 on SBC mentioning Advanced (5.25 Ascot) in his piece tomorrow and 1/15 on him tipping advance as worth a sentimental e/w bet for one of the forums old favourites.

    Max bet £5.

Thanks, dont ever say I dont look after you all.

    Evening all-

    Unfortunately RV I am going against you for 2 of the 3 races tomorrow;

    3.05- Nobile Mission -

Was looking at the favourite who was jumping out at me, but had a very had derby run so have decided to take him on. The brother of frankel has been progressing well, only found Thought Worthy too good in his last 3 races- who subsequently ran very well at a big price in the derby too. The 2 exta furlongs will suit Noble mission and could run a big race.

15.45- Laugh Out Loud/ Homecoming Queen (Ground Dependant)

Have been very impressed with this horse the last two runs. Has come off the back of a very good win across the channel. The booking of Frankie is an intresting one too. And aslong as the ground doesnt deteriate too much as her only bad run came on soft ground in the 1000 Guineas, if the ground is classed as soft Iwill be staying well clear and then my pick will be Homecoming Queen who has doubts over her last run in the 1000 Guineas but if the ground is soft im confident she will be back to her very best! (will let you know in the monrning who I pick)

    16.25- Gatewood (NAP)

Has won me plenty of money this year with his last 2 performances. And I still think we havent seen the best of him, he is a very lightly raced colt with only 5 races behind me. He still looks on a more than workable mark and could very well end up in pattern race company later this season.

KIRTHILL 16-1 4.25 looks like a nice piece of Cumani plotting. The big doubt is the choice of jockey as Fallon is on his other runner but there is hardly a better replacement than Ryan Moore. He was given a cozy seasonal debut, possibly with this in mind and looks sure to run a big race.
I have backed him on his own and also in a double with LIGHTNING CLOUD 10-1 5.35 He ran an absolute belter in the Victoria Cup on his seasonal debut and going maybe slightly too soft. He is still open to huge improvement and I am sure his shrewd handler will have him spot on for this. He would love to see his daughter in the winners enclosure. He won five of his seven races last season, all over seven furlongs and he is definitely still on the upgrade. He has been backed this evening and I will be amazed if he isnt in the shake up!

Finally got around to watching Saddlers Rock's race and I stand by every word about him being a machine. He pulled like a train for the first mile and was keen throughout. Furthermore, they went an absolutely crawl which would have been totally against him as it didn't make it a test of stamina at all. Add in the rain coming was a negative (Murtagh said he didn't want rain last night) and to finish beaten by just over 0.5L is a tremendous performance. Clearly F&G had something wrong or simply didn't show up and I don't get why people are having a go at Spencer - nobody could have gotten him home to win.

With you with Homecoming Queen, Wooly - and as it's raining there at the moment she's the one carrying my children's inheritance <ok>

And in a wide open Albany Stakes, I can see Agent Alison running a big race.

Good luck all - I won't be here - off to where there is no wi-fi and lousy telephonic signal (not outer *****lia, just a peasant area in Kent!)

Keep an eye on GREAT ROAR's odds in the Market Rasen bumper. It could be worth a dabble. Lovely pedigree but never made it to the track in France.

You'll win some races with Saddlers Risk ROTO but I don't see what you see. He's no star, just a very good stayer. Is Opinion Poll anything more than a good yardstick? I don't think he is. In which case none of this current crop of stayers are exceptional. F&G at his best included.

Ishvana franked the Irish 1000 form the other day. Maybe Samitar will do so again tomorrow. Can't be arsed having a bet though. It all looks rather unappealing again.

    Evening all,

    3:45 Samitar.

Don 't see last performance as a fluke and taking to confirm superiority over Homecoming Queen.

    Good luck.

Don't think you can read into the form of the race Quel. They absolutely crawled and I don't think anything more could have gone against Saddlers Rock. Clearly respect your opinion and if he has no excuses next time I'll certainly re-evaluate but I think he did incredibly well to get that close today all things considered

Saddlers Rock is the stamina king of all of them and I would back him to win on good ground by 3L+. I really, really like him. He didn't get what he wanted today but put in a superb effort. Opinion Polls ground came today, absolutely loves soft, and performed lke it too. Fame & Glory confirmed to me what I have always thought regarding 2m trips: he is better over shorter. He would pulverise these over a mile and a half, but staying tends to equalose things. That said, he has bounced back before and you might get a price for him to do so again! Frankie proved why he is still the Godolphin no.1 though with an amazing ride. Barzalona irritated the daylights out of me holding KAYLANI up last. FFS. She hasnt got the gears but she does stay. Whenever Frankie gets on board, get on that horse.

A horse jumping out at me tomorrow is CARDIGAN in the 3.45 Coronation Stakes. Had one start when an easy winner at Haydock and I've a very funny feeling this is William Haggas' ace up his sleeve at the meeting. Here is a most interesting quote from the owners earlier this year:

On a brighter note, Tooth can look forward to this year's Flat season with exciting filly Cardigan. The William Haggas-trained three-year-old oozed class on her racecourse introduction at Haydock in September.

Stafford continued: "She is not back with William yet, but I'd imagine she could be within the month. William always thought she had plenty of ability and it was a good performance at Haydock. I believe the second horse is well regarded and they pulled a long way clear.

"That was over six furlongs, but Cardigan's pedigree would give you hope she might get a mile. She looks to have a nice handicap mark on 85, so we'll see what happens when she gets back from her break and see what William wants to do."

You don't miss golden handicap opportunities off a mark of 85 to step up to Group 1 class for the fun of it. Hanagan booked and I think this is the most intriguing runner of the day. Looked very classy on debut and whilst it is a marked step up, I suspect this horse might be one of Haggas' top fillies in his yard. We will see. I'll take a chance at 12/1.

Also agree with Stick that KIRTHILL is an absolute standout value and suspect Fallon may be on the wrong 'un. Well, I say wrong un, of course wrong if you are a punter but a fantastic lay bet for Mr Fallon when he nips onto Betfair from his Iphone tonight.

Way too many things I like the look of! I'll try get a couple of write ups done

2.30 Ascot Kosika 18/1 (small bet)

4.10 Market Rasen No Panic 14/1

    4.25 Ascot Qaraaba 8/1 NAP

5.10 Redcar Broctune Papa Gio 9/1

    8.05 Newmarket Greensward 9/1 & Al Khan 20/1

8.50 Ayr Five Star Junior 14/1 NB

    9.10 Newmarket Cats Eyes 9/4

I also like 5.35 Ascot Global Village 10/1 but I'm afraid that with the ground now softer that there is a bias towards the lower draws. If that doesn't seem the case tomorrow after the first couple of races I'll be backing him

I think with a strong run race and better ground Saddlers Rock woulda won too, remember he's still on the improve also, lot's of pluses if he stay's sound and i think he can dominate the marathon trips in future. As for F&G, i'm off the same opinion that i don't like him as a stayer albeit he's entitled to take his chance and win if able. Fair play to Frankie for picking the right one, big decision to chose CV over OP and there was really nothing in it, i did laugh at that stewards enquiry tho, Barzalona was like the little boy told to sit in the corner and say nothing.

ROTO ya best be writing if planning putting up some of them, remember..make sure ya put up the right ones :emoticon-0148-yes:
