I'll second that. He hasn't done enough to warrant that size ego. My grandmother could manage a championship winning team in Portugal
We can't lose here. If it's true and he does walk out because of that, well then I don't want somebody with that ego to be our next manager anyway. If it's not true, talks continue..
Also, if I remember rightly, Harry said we should get rid of Modric if he wasn't happy. Now that's what I call man-management
VDV has occasionally come across as less than content, commenting on always being replaced by Defoe with 15-20 minutes of the game among other things, whilst Bale was one of the players (along with King, Kaboul and Ade) that was supposedly organising team meetings in April when Harry was losing the plot along with every game we were playing.
So the Guardian know who we're talking to, how Villas-Boas feels about it and not only that we're selling Modric, but to which side? Do they have the weekend's lottery numbers, too?
I find that comment from the Guardian absolutely puzzling. Why is it different in football to real life? If there is a vacant position, one should feel the need to be interviewed along with other candidates. Why football managers feel them being offered a job should be any different to me applying for a job is ridiculous.
The first 2 lines kinda rhyme, if you are a bit northern. Or you say 'smash' in a very weird way (smarsh)
http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11675/7837318/AVB-rejects-Spurs-lies- Andre Villas-Boas has rejected recent reports linking him with the vacant manager's job at Tottenham Hotspur as 'lies'. The former Chelsea boss is the odds-on favourite to be appointed at White Hart Lane following the shock departure of Harry Redknapp earlier this month. Widespread reports suggested that the Portuguese was the leading choice of Spurs chairman Daniel Levy as the north London club look to secure regular UEFA Champions League football. But there had been suggestions that Villas-Boas was unhappy at the way in which Spurs were considering other candidates, despite previously indicating he could be interested in the role. And the former Porto boss left little area for doubt when asked about the Tottenham speculation by the Portuguese press. He was quoted as saying by Portuguese newspaper O Jogo: "There is nothing, it is all lies." Villas-Boas endured a brief and unhappy time in the Premier League with Chelsea, losing his job in March after some disappointing results and amid suggestions of dressing room unrest. Spurs may now have to turn their attentions elsewhere as they search for a successor to Redknapp, who was axed after three-and-a-half years at the helm.
Seems like Laurent Blanc is gonna be the guy. If not him then surely something would of happened already? Or is Levy trying to save a few weeks manager wages lol.
you could be right KH.....aah well at least more of us will be united over the appointment as i would not mind Blanc.....plus if AVBs ego is that big then he can fuk off despite all the public backing ive given him...dikhead.
