True. Kos was seen as the player for the future but he surprised everyone with his quality. Discussed elsewhere but the failure of Squillaci was amazing. At the time he was in the French squad and was starter for a CL club in Sevilla.
When we bought him it wasn't to be 4th/5th choice, it was to come in and play right away because we had injury woes .. wasn't it ?! So his salary seems about right to me, considering we wee buying a 30 year old French international defender with CL experience.
Not sure research is needed into England's tactics at these Euros. Defend for dear life with 9 men behind the ball, and try to nick a goal, after the opposition gives up trying on their 100th wave of attack.....
Is England the most boringteam to watch in these Euros? They definately are in the quarters, but i'd go as far to say, in the group stages too. I hardly ever see an exciting move played by any of the players. I've seen teams like Poland play some lovely stuff. I remember being in Hamburg during the 2006 world cup. I was watching one of the England group games in the fan park, and i almost fell asleep standing up!
