Not sure whether there is any mileage in this but after the MK Dons fiasco this really would be taking the piss. Hopefully the FA will make it clear it's a no-go... http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...-buy-Bury-and-play-in-English-League-One.html
If that is what they want, then fine. But first they must pay back EVERY SINGLE PENNY they have cheated out of the taxman and all the other creditors (including several Scottish clubs) and start at the lowest level of English football possible. They cannot be allowed to hijack another team. They cannot be allowed to start a new company and take over all the good bits of Rangers (ie. fanbase, players, ground) and simply wave goodbye to their debts. The old Rangers has gone. New Rangers has to start at the bottom. They cannot be allowed to carry on as if nothing has really happened.
Theyd be made to start in non league if it was another team but seeing as its rangers, they will do everything they can to keep them there. Either way the SPL becomes even more of a farce than it is, its either a 1 team league or they admit any club can con their way out of the debts. Id also like to see all their silverware not transferred to the new club.
I wouldn't object, providing they were: a) still called Bury b) still played their home games in Bury
There's already talk of several Championships, Cups etc being rescinded as the fall-out from the tax-avoidance scheme...
Can't see this happening, surely the other clubs in League One would be allowed a say in this. Imagine thousands of their "fans" invading Crawley or Yeovil with the local police totally unable to deal with it. Shut the whole business down, turn Ibrox into a Tescos and make them play on Glasgow's equivalent of Hackney Marshes at the lowest level conceivable in Scottish Football.
That would be a disgrace if true. Bury fans would be up in arms and the FL should do everything they can to prevent this.
As an aside who ever thought of building a theme park in China? Rubbish business idea. No one would be tall enough to go on the rides.
It can't happen but if they were thrown into League One, with the state they're in, they'd probably go down!
Are there any other countries in the world that have foreign teams playing in their leagues? I can't think of any offhand. Maybe we should consider chucking the welsh clubs out while were at it.
Monaco play in the French League, perhaps they would make Rangers welcome. There are Canadian based teams in US sports, including 'soccer'. I would be equally delighted if these knuckle dragging bigots ended up mixing it with the heavily armed NYPD.
They have done in the past Stan. They went over en masse a few years ago for a pre-season Tournament and tried to wreck the place but the police gave no quarter. Well done on the "Soccer" thing by the way. You're starting to come round
