I'm sure "he" does, but that may not be on the cards.

Now thats a wierd sentence but I'm assuming that you mean players in our squad, in which case:

    Lonergan
    Lees
    Kisnorbo
    Snodgrass
    Clayton
    Pugh
    Brown
    Becchio
    Somma
    McCormack

Now there are also a few players in our squad that he is on par with. This also obviously does not include Howson and Gradel who were both in our squad for the start of last season. We also have much more promising youngsters that include:

    Cairns
    Taylor
    Thompson
    Poleon
    Payne

He's really not that good, pace does not make you a good player and that is all he has to offer. He's far too weak and if he is to play he has to play as a winger. I'm not saying definitely get rid of him but if he does not sign an average contract then let him go and try and pursue the prem if he thinks he's good enough

I meant at the moment. Which rules out Kisnorbo, Pugh, Brown and Somma. Your list of players with better potential is ridiculous and unfounded. We know **** all about those youngsters, and I doubt top European clubs are going to be eyeing them up in the near future - well, to be honest, ever - like they have with White.

So all in all, even if you do think patchy Clayton, weak Lees and flapper Lonergan are better than White, he's still realistically one of the best players on our books.

But I suppose that's too popular a viewpoint for you to take?

No not at all, another thing to take into consideration is that I didn't include new signings even. Pearce is better as well as Drury. I confess to not knowing much about Green but if he is not better than White currently then we should never have signed him. I didn't say white didn't have potential, and we are talking current ability so I would actually add Pugh and Brown back in there (Brown was probably our best player since Warnock came in) and we'll take out Kissa and Somma if you so chose (who are not even first choice mind you)

And the youngsters, what I have seen of them which admittedly isn't much they do show some sort of control, vision and composure on the ball all of which White does not contain in his arsenal.

He is just not one of the best players on our books, thats a ridiculous thing to even say. But I suppose that you are just another person who just thinks the game is just about how quick you are. If he had no pace he wouldn't even be a professional footballer that is how I know he will never make it.

I'm usually the first person to say if I think players have pace and nothing else, and regularly complain that players like Kieran Gibbs are effectively wingers playing in defence just to support counter-attacks, which I think is a needless and overused tactic.

White on the other hand, like I say, I think he's developing positional sense and winning decent amounts of tackles. His pace helps him defend, it's not a hindrance. And he can stop the man from getting round him, jockeys them well and gets a foot in 60% of the time. Not many other full-backs of his limited experience anywhere in the country who can defend to the same standard.

More importantly than that is what's due to come from him. And there's surely plenty of that.

Obviously pace isn't a hindrance and you need it in your team but I think we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one

By the way, have you noticed we are having about 4 conversations all on different clubs' boards... <laugh>

White offers nothing. Lots of effort and goes on plenty of runs but there is little in terms of an end result. Clearly out of position when playing under Warnock and lacked consistency when playing at left back. There are better players out there although I'm not sure Drury is one of them and certainly not deserving of a two year contract at this stage of his career.

Welcome to the board Stevie. Another member that agrees with me is always welcome :)

Although I am certainly willing give Drury time to show whether he is good enough but I wouldn't jump and say he isn't. He has obviously proved in the past he is, its just whether he has lost that or not. I think he could do a job for us and Norwich fans certainly hold him in high regard

Aidy White is James Milner in disguise, runs about a lot but does not create nothing.

I always noticed that white is surprisingly strong for such a little lad. Cant remember seeing him get skinned or muscled off the ball and he's so precise with his tackles. Now I think about it, when he's been at left back all our goals have been leaked in from the centre and the right.

It's not a hindrance, but it gets judged by people as a be-all/end-all thing.

And I think that's because of our late night boredom which results in typing 'Leeds' in the searchbox and generally being nosey bastards on other teams' boards.

James Milner is a winger/attacking mid. White is a natural left-back who's been played out of position by Warnock.

<ok> Exactly. Welcome back to the fray.

I still firmly expect Charlie Taylor to make it as a Premiership left back over White.

In my opinion if he is lucky Aiden White will get a few games for a club like Wigan on the left of midfield until teams get used to putting him on his right foot, I will go further with my prediction and guess that within 18 months he will go out on loan to a club like Huddersfield.

I've yet to see any evidence that Taylor is even good enough for this level.
