It is a shame so many are becoming low on funds. Of course, whilst it is the nature of betting to risk such loss, perhaps there could be some form of a reprieve at some point in the season? (Perhaps at the discretion of AG, who is running this 'event'?) For instance, there could be the wholesale handing out of another £20, to every player, regardless of remaining funds; thus helping to continue the interest for more than the fortunate few with bigger funds to play with?
Maybe we could do a raffle just like how we pick the drivers? 24 selections: (£1 to £40?) 8x£1 6x£5 4x£10 3x£20 2x£25 1x£40.... Maybe do it straight after the German Gp? People with £0 get first pick and then the rest a week after?
I'm not keen on the raffle idea, just because I think the random allocation of money defeats the object of a gambling game. How about forming a second tier during the summer break, where people with less than a certain amount of money drop into a second division and receive an extra £20 for the final nine races of the season?
To stop people putting crazy bets on, we could limit negative bets to a maximum of 2 quid further in the hole each race.
Oddly enough, the same idea occurred to me just before coming to this thread. Seems a pretty good idea to me. What do you think AG? And now for my Valencia bets: Fastest Qualifier: Schumacher £1 @ 14/1 (Sorry EMSC, but I hope I lose this bet!) Fastest Qualifier: Rosberg £1 @ 10/1 First Retirement: Karthikeyan £2 @ 10/1
I havnt bet my house or car yet but then again I dont think they will be worth much in exchange for not606 pounds
