If I went through Fergusons list of dud signings I would be here all year.
Well at least Liverpool never signed a player for £8 million that PSV turned down for free. The reason PSV turned him down was because they saw him play.

I would be more worried if Kenny spent £32 million on a bolshy bulgarian that can't run.Oh wait...Who did that again.

No. I'm able to separate, though in recent times England has mattered a lot less to me, which is a big deal for somebody who spent so many years living in Scotland fighting The Banter War. I remember the friendly against Spain, when there were no Liverpool players in the England lineup and quite a few in the Spanish one. My loyalties were seriously torn and probably Sangria-tinged cos it was a friendly, with Jagielka up against Torres.

I'm actually delighted and hardly surprised Rooney has hit form as season's end approaches. Torres did the same thing as the transfer window approached and some said he was advertising himself. It seems they were right. Is Rooney doing the same? My money's on the affirmative.

As far as Carroll goes and as Einstein once said, everything is relative. £50m for Torres was, as the Jockanese say, like taking sweeties fae the weans, so £35m relative to that was a steal for what many managers have said privately was a great deal for a young Brit striker, especially one of his trad ilk. Is Carroll worth £15m less than Torres right now? Pth, as if.

That's always gonna be the way mate. We still get people wumming about Berbatov even when he's top scorer in the PL and getting crucial goals to keep us on track for #19. And that's not even mentioning Bebe, who's had zero professional football training and even less chance to prove himself than Carroll, but gets judged by rival fans anyway.

Just think of it this way, it'll be even sweeter to rub it in their faces if Carroll ends up as PL top scorer in the next couple of seasons...but he'll have to outscore Berba first... <ok>

Gerrard can re-invent himself in the same way Roy Keane,Didi Hamann and Gary McAllister did.All 3 started out as CAM's and finished as deep lying midfielders as they got older.
What can Berbatov reinvent himself as?Well he can't reinvent himself as a poacher,as he hasn't got the legs to be quick enough in and around the six yard box.Face it,Man United spent £32 million on a one dimesional forward.

KPR your list of united flops is way short of the target.

Veron and Berba is that like 50 odd million pounds of wastage? Thats a lot. Djembe Djembe Cryuff Forlan and many many more, Park is just there for jeysey and tv money from Korea ffs and tey talk about RA, at least he's buying em to play football not be a token:)

ALso, Carroll scored some nice goals with his feet too not just his head.

Look at Rooney, looked to be world class superstar, and now look so you cant judge a 20 year old too quickly

A poacher, yeah, I can see him smoking a woodbine whilst laying traps in the forest, thats the only poaching he'll be doing. Berba never had even one season like Nandos best season though he cost less and made us a tidy profit, Berba is done after United, they'll lose 20m on him

Torres is going nowhere in the summer.

It is the mail, that is significant as this is a made up story no doubt with the vaguest of sources.

There is no way he is being offloaded in the summer, not a chance, not a hope. He'll make the 50m back in sales before he goes. Chelsea ddint lose 30m on Sheva, they got some of that back to be sure.

I'd say Torres Chelsea shirts sold quite well when he signed.

Andy Carroll has a hell of a left foot. His shooting accuracy is awesome. He's got presence,He's imposing and he's a defenders worst nightmare.
