Have to say I am gutted that Arsenal seem to be signing Giroud for such a small fee, I was under the impression that the reason we were not interested was an astronomical asking price... From what i've seen he looks very good, let's hope he turns out to be a Chamakh and not a Drogba.
I didn't know which thread to put this in, but seeing as harry has left and it's essentially an "outwards" transfer, I thought id put it here. did make me laugh. The very best of Harry and his car window. LOL http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqKjhEHvC4M&feature=player_embedded
Someone suggested to me that the interview for each of our managerial targets will be a short drive around the car park, before they roll their car window down and talk to someone from Sky.
By the way Roo ive forgot to say this....i like your new avatar...its much better than that camp kangaroo one you chose
Lol! What were you thinking with that avatar dona? I have no idea how i Didnt get abuse with that picture!! I only kept it as you went to the effort! It looked like the marsupial worlds answer to van damme.
Rumour is GDS is in Madrid this week to talk to Atletico. Hopefully we'll finally see the back of him so everyone can move on and we can get in a player that actually works in our system.
Apparently some unnamed bookmaker or other suspended betting on Stephane Sessegnon joining us. Sounds like bollocks to me, but he's a good player.
Ditto to both. Maybe if VDV left he could take up that kind of role for us but I wouldn't want him as a main striker like is being suggested and I doubt he'd be happy with Europa League and a few sub appearances.
Larsson's a little too much like Bentley, for me. A good player, but probably unsuited to our style of play. Sessegnon seems a far better fit to me and he's versatile, too. If there is any truth in this, then I can see him being used as competition and back-up for both wings and the van der Vaart role. Hopefully we'll have a manager that understands how to get the best out of a squad, rather than just the first XI. (Sorry, Notso!)
I would take Larsson as he strikes me as mr consistent, will never be a great player overall but he is the steady eddy in midfield, works hard, great technique with a dead ball and can hammer the ball in from long range. In a tight game when we need a dead ball delivered with pace and precision then Larsson would do this.
The combination of Larsson delivering the free-kicks / corners and Vertonghen on the end of them would be a serious threat.
sorry if anyone's already posted this, but i'm struggling with my internet connection. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11675/7830771/Trabzonspor-claim-Yilmaz-offers 55 in 75 for Trabzonspor and 6 in 18 for his country. can anyone shed some light?
