Features & comment Moses âhas set his heart on joining Chelseaâ 20/06/2012 by Matt Barrett Wigan star Victor Moses has set his heart on a move to Chelsea, the Daily Mail suggest. QPR have expressed an interest in signing the 21-year-old, while Liverpool are also reported to want him. But Moses is said to be keen to sign for the Blues, who yesterday had a £4m bid for him rejected according to Wigan chairman Dave Whelan. Chelsea are tipped to return with an improved offer closer to the £5m mark, while The Daily Telegraph report that Moses wants to discuss his future with Latics boss Roberto Martinez. The Mail also say Jose Bosingwa, recently released by Chelsea, has been offered to Barcelona.
Blurb from Clubcall """"""""""""" Hughes hopes fade over Moses Queens Park Rangers, 14:19, June 20, 2012 Any hopes QPR boss Mark Hughes may have had about signing Victor Moses from Wigan appear to be fading as Chelsea lead the race. Both Hughes at Loftus Road and new Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers were interested in landing the former Crystal Palace flyer but Chelsea's unexpected move looks likely to win the day. Their initial offer of £4m was turned down emphatically by Wigan and they are ready to improve it to £5m but Latics chairman Dave Whelan wants closer to £10m so the two sides are along way from an agreement. Moses only has 12 months to run on his current contract but Latics are still holding out for as much as they can get for the player and will fight to keep hold of the Nigeria forward. Reports claim that Chelsea are willing to go to £5million but such a minimal increase on the original offer is unlikely to impress Whelan who says he is under no pressure to sell. However it is understood that Moses wants to move to Stamford Bridge and has instructed his agent to open talks with Wigan to push for a move away. The R's and the Reds have not given up hope but Chelsea are now clear favourites for his signiture. Why do profesional footballers prefer to sit on the bench rather than play? Money? Hell, they earn a fortune anyway. Surely they want to play football each week? I don't get it. There are loads of examples of players who have taken the money and train and don't play. We've got one SWP. I fail to grasp the mentality. Whether Moses signs for us is not the point. Surely he wants to be happy and play football every week.
Well confused by this...as Chelsea have already spalshed out Marko Marlin from Germany, and Eden Hazard from Belguim, both players I highly rate...If Victor Moses gors to Chelsea he'll just be a bench warmer, and get a fat arse doing it... Stan
Well, that's his problem. If he hasn't sussed what's happened to so many promising players that have accepted the Russian fool's gold he'll soon learn...
