http://www.thescratchingshed.com/2012/06/takeover-still-on-track/ Meanwhile, Adam Drury has told the Official Site of his excitement at the âbig things aheadâ: âIâm excited about what Iâm coming into, and I canât wait to get going.â âI had a few options, there was some interest and I could have gone abroad, but with what could happen here itâs a massive pull and I want to be a part of it.â
you would think by now that when a player moves to a new club they would come up with something different to say instead of the same old bullshit next he will be telling us he has joined a big club with ambition
Mighty, I think you'll find this was not the usual drivle we get from new signings, this had a couple of things that point to whats happening at the club. ..."With what's happening here", ....."The players the manager wants to bring in and the plan for promotion ...." These statements tell you that a deal is close and Warnock will have cash as soon as it's done.
Unfortunately I doubt Adam Drury has an insight into the takeover, and if its such a big takeover, why are we signing the likes of Adam Drury now.
'why are we signing the likes of Adam Drury now' Maybe because Warnock rates him and he will do a good job for us while young Charlie Taylor gets some experience. Just a thought
Thank you agreed - The way I see it Warnock is going to bring players in on a budget that he feels can do a job. Then when the takeover happens maybe a few bigger signings might happen. At the end of the day, we need a good 6-8 decent quality players coming in, you cannot expect 6-8 players costing a few million each no matter what happens with a takeover. Take Dury as an example, name a better quality LB that a club would be willing to sell, that would be a realistic price even with a few million to spend.
I don't see anyone better we could have got, takeover or no takeover. I think Colin's getting in the Bosmans he wanted before he has some cash to spend.
I am liking that we are not getting the delays we seemed to have been plagued with over wage demands or 'unrealistic wage expectations' that Bates has used as an excuse in the past. Everything is pointing in a more positive direction. Pearce, Dury, Green all signed without any question marks over can we afford the going rate...
I think the fact that Warnock is signing geriatric defenders and injury plagued freebies implies that there is no takeover
Didn't know Michael Brown and Maik Taylor were twins http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/152531-Talks-collapse Or are you nicking my material again you thieving Didicoy
