  2. I really hate seeing players described as 'world class', it is used far too often. To me, world class means they world get into a Select World XI. IMO, Rooney would not. IMO, the only player we have that would get into a world team is Ashley Cole but, like with most of the England team, his performances have not been great so far <ok>

Edit: I agree with what you are saying about Rooney but I think it sent out the wrong message to all the players. Welbeck and Carroll did not deserved to be dropped, certainly not for a player that's being selected for his name. It also told Rooney that it doesn't matter what he does, if available then he will play.

I agree that he should have had some time on the pitch to get some match fitness but not that he should have started. When a team is performing I don't think change should be made to accomodate anyone.

I posted earlier that players like Milner and Young should also be dropped so that Ox Chamberlain and Walcott can play as they look sharp and on good form. I think England have suffered over the years from picking names instead of form players.

  10. I don't think Walcott should start, certainly not if the Ox is starting too, far too exposed in midfield with those two. IMO, Walcott always does best as an impact sub, he nearly always fails to deliver when part of the starting XI. As bad as Milner as been on the ball, he as been good off the ball. He has been working hard and getting back which is more than can be said for Young on the opposite side <ok>

Well partially.. Other thanthe bit about young.. He isn't there to defend, thankfully doesn't have to either as he has a competent full back behind him.. Which can't be said about Milner.. <ok>

I just don't think any other wide player is doing a good enough job so give him a go and tell him to cover his full back.

Hence all the comments from non-Liverpool fans saying Johnson has been our best defender in at least 2 out of 3 games <doh>

Take the anti-LFC flag out of your ass for once

I honestly haven't seen or heard anyone say that beercan face although I hardly use your forum anymore.

I personally think Johnson has been the worst England defender of the comp so far <ok>

    Mornin bitches,

so no footy today, damn, that means I have to work <yikes>

I have a sneaky feeling ( it was in my bets with some friends, but as France) that whoever wins the England Italy game will go to the finals. The germans look unreal but for some reason feel it is that underdog kind of year.

I haven't heard anyone praise Johnson other than Liverpool supporters.. I don't have an anti Liverpool flag either as I have heaped praise on gerrard an Mandy..

Perhaps if you read back you will notice that virtually all you scousers have done nothing but slate the united players in the team, and then get all pissy if we dare to point out Johnson clear deficiencies in the art of actual defending. So perhaps take your Liverpool tinged spectacles off an remove your head out your arse <ok>

As pmk pointed out after the last game the ratings of Johnson from various papers were from 4-8..

Football is all about opinions, mine is that Johnson is great going forward but not actually very good at defending..

Not seen Swarbs for quite a while on the board. If he was about, this banning fiasco could have been avoided.
