Brilliant Swords, from the original long ball over Terry the striker was offside. When he actually received the ball he was onside, but by then the flag should have already gone up!
They've just shown it on MOTD and Hansen, Shearer, Dixon and Lineker didn't mention it once! You boys aren't clutching at straws now are ye?
The thing that you are expecting Hansen, Dixon,Shearer and Lineker to spot one obvious thing in the match means that you my friend are clutching the straws. After all life is too short to this and England win their match against Ukraina if my memory seves me right so goodbye and goodnight.
What's bizarre about it? Pretty weak joke admittedly, but the Catholic Church's dogma is that sex is purely for procreation, not fun ( which I assume lesbianism is, certainly looks it) and has simultaneously tried to cover up decades of child abuse by priests, especially in UK, US and Ireland, where you are. That's the link. Who cares if the goal was offside or over the line, it didn't count, end of.
You posted a hard-hitting one on Big Sam on another thread tonight that was very funny too. I like this no holds barred side of you Stan! Very entertaining. You boys are correct. The guy was offside when the ball went over the top. Well spotted.
I'm tired and flying way too much Swords, body clock ****ed and going to get worse. I get waspish in these circumstances. There are no less than 8 aged people in wheelchairs waiting to get on the flight I'm about to get. What the **** have they been doing in Florida? They have a right to holidays of course but why put yourself through an eight hour flight to sit in the sun, when you can go to Spain. They'll all get diabetes now as well after a couple of weeks of the local fried diet. I have another week in Japan next week where my usual sweary sarcastic approach is totally useless. I'll be like a volcano by weekend after next, may be venting unnaturally on here for safety purposes.
I'm sorry for your discomfort Stan but this stuff is golden You've got to post in this state of mind more often. Your wit comes to the fore brilliantly!
I've not posted on here in a while, for many personal reasons, but one is that our resident Dubliner annoys the hell out of me. However, having read a few posts recently and this one in particular, I've come to the conclusion that he knows nothing about football and I shouldn't let him bother me so much. Swords, if you can't clearly see that when the ball is played, he is at least 2 yards offside then you're either blind, stupid or don't know the offside rule? Oh, and sorry if I'm being Xenophobic, racist or blindist..........I'm sure you'll pick something up in there somewhere??
Regarding England - all credit to Woy for getting us through the Group. That said I must agree with Silvio that watching England if you are a neutral must be dire boring! I think most of the games in the qualifying stage were exceptionally good - good quality attacking football and exciting, with players giving 100% for therir countries. Great stuff. England have unfortunately been the exception with regard to the "good quality attacking football" bit - they really only did that the last 20 minutes or so against the Ukraine when Walcott came on. Ok we are through now Woy, well done, but now give it ago! We have got good enough players to possibly win the whole thing and with some style. If we manage to sit back and play cagey defensive football with our very fast and skilfull players, as though we are Greece 8 years ago, in 3 more showplace games and gouge out three 1-0 wins, I think I'll transfer citizenship!
Are you trying to send me into a tailspin of depression and self loathing Brix? I used to think that Flyer was Jose Mourinho in real life, such is his towering self confidence and mastery of analysis of, well, everything. But I have revised my view in favor of Billy Bleach He does love the Rs though, so everything is forgiveable
I disagree that we have the players talented enough. I think that we play containing football because it works. I've thought all the way through so far that our players look by far the least comfortable in possession, and if we switch our style of play we risk coming unstuck.
