There will be a couple of home games, there'll be that Al-Ahly one and then we'll try and get a big team like Liverpool last year.

Bearing in mind we get the Al-Ahly one sorted and a big club at home that looks like a pretty good pre-season to me.

I wonder if their will be a training camp? Not much time to fit it in.

I think we only played Liverpool as part of the Gulacsi loan deal

According to the Facebook page, they hope to announce some more friendly fixtures by the end of the week. Just waiting for confirmation

Ben, you beat me to it

Probably will include that one, but it suggests more than 1 (unless it's the way I'm reading it)?

Could be more than 1 but we already have 6 friendlies organised so another 1 makes it seven, which is enough games I would have thought?

I think the only reason we cancelled that was to push the Gulacsi loan deal through

Indeed. Looks a nice one. Last time i was at spotland it was a dump but the day Hull City sealed promotion out of the basement division in the heady days of Flounders, Roberts, Skipper et al. :1980_boogie_down:

So am i. Mrs T has already got a shopping trip to Manchester penned in for the morning So that seals the deal. :emoticon-0116-evilg

Look a quality list to me. Nothing that bad but just good enough to give our lot a good run out prior to the new season. Will be nice to catch up with Ex.Tiger Sam Collins. Another ground best visited in August and Not February.
    Hang the monkey land. ;)

That Egptian team is on the cards maybe ?? BUT what should we foook off Grimsby ? A great chip oil near the ground for starters. Great to play the cod men again. Last year was for a reason though. <whistle>

We are going to Hartlepool on the 4th as they have had to cancel a game with Sunderland on the 2nd august. By this game i shall be ready for the real stuff. Only so many friendlies one can put up with. ;)

If we have any home games prior to Rotherham in the COC it will be the egyptian team i would suggest.

Maybe thats Just the date of the Rotherham Utd cup game. Confirmation of when its happening.

    Indeed.

Why ? Nice to go there and sample the fish and chip shop around the corner. Maybe we can deal for Liam Hearne at the same time ? <whistle>

We generally have two separate teams made up largely of kids and reserves for the Winterton and North Ferriby games. So can probably fit another couple of games in. I'd expect our usual home game against strong opposition to wrap it up.

Actually we dont. Under Phil Brown he played 2 teams from his first team squad in each half of each game.

Nigel Pearson played one 11 @ Ferriby and another 11 @ Winterton.

Who knows how Steve Bruce will tackle it this time. Maybe the same as NP i would suggest.#

Some reserves but especially the kids will get the games @ Brid - Brigg and Boston hence the developement criteria mentioned.

That's what I would have expected with them being consecutive days. But as you say, Bruce may have his own ideas.

Also there is the game @ Grimsby on the friday night. So thats 3 games in 5 days so maybe the Phil Brown method for that week alone may be the way Bruce tackles it ? Its does make good sense just to give each "11" 45mins per game that week though. TWT as always.
