Looking for a new gym to join, just stepped on the scales and realised I've put on an even 2 stone in about 9 months due to working long hours and eating horrendous food every night. Turning into a bit of a fat lad so need a decent gym to join, I'm living in the south gosforth area so anywhere within the fairly close vicinity would be good.

Prices and reviews would be appreciated, some cheeky rep in it for you aswell to sweeten the deal ;)

Maiden Castle in Durham, decent friendly staff and £13, however I get discount because my mum works for Durham University.

I use virgin in Gloucester (£40 pm) and lifestyle fitness in consett (£22).

The nicest totty is at Virgin if there's one anywhere near you.

My advice is to pay as you go to start to see if you like it.

Both great Gyms I've heard but apparently David Lloyd is £70 a month and Greens is around £50 a month, both rather expensive. Somewhere a bit cheaper would be better.

£50 a month is just 4 pints a week. Cut the booze out and be better off still and moving toward your target.

Just lead a good lifestyle like me and you won't need to go to a gym.

I'm actually not a huge drinker, have a night out about once every couple of months and sometimes have a few when watching the game when the season is on but not a frequent drinker, your right though, I could cut out some pointless stuff and just get the membership.

    Ha ha.

Sorry lads, but I thought the only 'gym' you lads used was Greggs...a good 6 lifts to finish a corned beef, maybe 7 for a steak bake....

(i'm off back to the Sunderland board now to cry over you ****ers getting into Europe...)
