looking at Mathieu Debuchy i can see why Lille have laughed us out of town ,we should of made a more realistic bid before the euro's ,i dont think he will be too impressed with that price tag we have given him either!

4m is a joke of a bid. 6.5m would be more realistic.

Quite happy to let the club worry about the money side of things. They've been very good at getting players for sensible prices rather than paying the current market rate. The current market is still ridiculous and if Debuchy falls into that bracket, quite happy to do without. The club know what they're doing and I'm sure we'll have other options if he becomes a bit rich. Cracking player but we aren't even in desperate need of him. Its a left back and centre back we need.

Think even an extra million would probably seal the deal. I reckon we will end up
    Picking him
    Up for about 5-5.5 million.

He'd be a really good acquisition but we can't change the policy that's been working so well so far. Times are a lot harder for everybody and the money isn't there like it used to be. The selling clubs must realise this and be prepared to cut the cloth a bit.

£6.5m would be a good deal for us but if we could get him for £5 - £5.5 so much the better.

That's something for the money boys to sort out.

£5 or even £5.50 would be alot better to be honest. You can't even get a 12 pack of beer for that much!

To be fair to Cashely and co, alot of clubs wont sell a player just before a big tournament because they're aware a players value rarely goes down - especially when they're a first team player for their nation as Debuchy is (Note: Guiv'arch was the exception to this >.<)

Nufcfans talk out their ringpiece fella. I'd listen to a **** waffle like Cwarr before those attention seeking helmets.

Any slight hint of a rumour and NUFCfans are all over it claiming it as fact. They are as bad as the morons who run NUFCblog.

I think 4m and 8m bids for Debuchy and De Jong were complete jokes myself, but it's like bartering with someone.

    You don;t start high.

I think we should go up to 6-7mil for Debuchy, and 10m for De Jong, 12-15m if Ba leaves and we need another striker desperate.

You say that but have you ever actually seen De Jong play?

Fair comment on Debuchy by the looks of things.

Would like us to bring in a young 17-18 year old striker with potential aswell. On a free or cheap as chips.

NUFCfans have a decent twitter feed, they keep up to date with the latest stories and have a good interaction with fans and stuff, but then they let themselves down by making up rumours and posting unfounded rumours as fact.

NUFCblog is just a complete joke, when people talk about Newcastle fans being unrealistic and deluded, this is where it comes from.

If we keep Ba, then I wouldn't want us to go high for De Jong. But if not, he'd be worth a high bid.

De Jong is only 21, and he looks class, like a young RVP, but much better in the air.
