Why do people assume just because we have made a bid for another striker Ba will be leaving??

Pardews quotes yesterday on the BBC saying he really wants Ba to stay and hopes to hold on to him, when you consider Lovenkrands has gone and we are looking to off load Ranger and Best we need to bring in some Striker alternatives.
I genuinely think we are looking to keep Ba and bring this lad in which would be a very good addition and add something extra up front.

IMO - If the club are hoping to hold on to Ba and get Luuk De Jong and make some serious bids, it means that we are really going for it next season!

The only way we'll keep all our players happy is by staying in Europe and having loads of games to give all our players a chance!

We do seem to believe rumours as gospel when we like them and disregard them as tat when we don't :)

Got to love being a football fan :)

I think in normal circumstances we would probably not believe this either, it's just the fact it actually appeared on sky sports news, which rarely ever happens if the story has no substance.

Just pop a bit of salt on your ring when he stays and we will call it quits.

Couple of tidbits on Luuk which ring similar to Cove's sentiments:

Just read a short report of Luuk de Jong from a Swedish Eredivisie expert, this is from May:

"Another candidate for the national team is Luuk de Jong, who made another great season and is a far more complete player than the top scorer Bas Dost. He has impressed in Europe and reminds a lot of Patrick Kluivert in his playing style, but perhaps without the technical ability that make you end up in Barcelona. It is most likely the Premier League for the young striker who was earlier chased by Liverpool."

    And from Mars:

"Very promising, a striker good off the ball, with all the qualities to become a world class striker. Has been very good at Twente and differs from Huntelaar and Van Persie by being also very good in air game. Will be very little playing time if he is included in the Holland squad."

Sounds too good to be true for us - epecially at around £8m. Likely to be priced out of our range.
