I hope the club will treat Spurs with the same level of disrespect they treated us with when we were attempting to sign their players. **** them about a bit and raise the price
Not sure Moses could cut it in the Sess role as Sess has better control and hold up ability, Sigurdsson would have been a good shout but Swansea found him first and now hosts of clubs are after him so hes off the radar. Without Sess on the team sheet and maybe McClean our squad looks like bottom 6 material.
Sess is better than Moses, but he's also 8 years or so older. The squad is far from bottom 6, Seb is quality, we have 2 good keepers, Bardo is solid, Colback is developing very well, then there's McLean. We need additions, we all know that, but the current squad is 9-12th material (assuming a striker is added).
totally agree with that and we need to keep the lad he is outstanding. we will always we a mediocre mid table side if we sell our best players, we need to keep Sess and built a team around him, as you say a replacement would cost us to much and I think even if we did have the money for that player would they even want to come to Sunderland? Sess said when he joined that Gyan was a huge factor in his move to Sunderland and linking up with a player like Gyan had him excited. If we want to attract better players we need to keep the quality 1's we have and add to them rather than replace them.
No one will pay near 18million for an attacking midfielder/striker with such a poor goal record as Sessegnon has. I've personally never seen him perform in a big game, and there are a lot of better players around who are nearing the end of their contracts if you want to start pushing the £20million mark.
8 goals and 9 assists is a poor record for an attacking midfielder? Funny how none of your midfielders came near that stat last season. Agree about the price part, nobody will pay 18mill for him but to question him not performing in big games is a stupid comment coming from a Newcastle fan who does not watch Sunderland games, I could make the same comment about Ben Arfa but I like him as a player and wouldnt make such a stupid mindless comment. Sess performing in hmmmmm....Man City away (2 assists) MOTM, Man City home (1 assist) MOTM, FA Cup winner against Boro seem like big games to me and thats not even mentioning him obliterating Wigan away (1 goal, 1 assist), Swansea at home (1 goal, 1 assist) Norwich at home (1 goal), Villa at home (1 goal, 1 assist), Bolton away (1 goal, 1 assist).
Give Sess 2 proper strikers to get onto his passes and you will see his assist rate get well into double figures, and he may even add a few more goals to his game. We need to tell that dickhead Levy to **** off, Sess he is vital to our improvement, and get in proper strikers, proper wingbacks and take the EPL by storm.
8 goals for someone with hardly any defensive responsibilities is bang average imho. The proof will be in the pudding, let's just see how much he goes for.
8 goals and 9 assists is grand by anyones standards, in a mid-table side, in a non fixed role. Stop being a nitwit.
Point of note in the past, SkyBet have suspended betting on the following to Sunderland.... Players Pavlyuchenko Samba N'Zogbia Papiss Demba Cisse Managers Roberto Mancini Mark Hughes.
Sessegnon was (I believe) your top scorer, suggesting he is the main focal point of attacks, especially with Benter playing on the wing Don't get me wrong I think he's a £10million player, but he is one of the biggest cases of fans overrating their own player I have ever seen.
You're clearly right mind, the fact Arsenal, Spurs, Marseille & PSG are all interested is all down to us on this ****ing forum.
I'm not going to get anywhere here, let's just see how much money you get for him, and how much he plays/scores when he joins whoever he joins.
No, no, you're right mate, we're all gonna start talking up Elmo, maybe Madrid will put a bid in. You lads can have a bit craic about Simpson, nailed on he'll end up at Milan.
