http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...helsea-owner-Abramovich-sell-Torres-flop.html Is Abramovich that stupid?
Fools and their money are easily parted.I thought he may have learnt his lesson when he made a ã30 million loss on Shevchenko,a ã20 million loss on Kezman, and a ã18 million loss on Crespo. It seems he hasn't.He will make a loss on Torres if he attempts to sell him.It could be as high as ã35 million. He's definitely not worth ã50 million, and I don't think he is worth the ã20.2 million Liverpool paid for him.ã15 million would be the price I would pay if I were a buying club.Chelsea will be lucky to get that.
1) Thats the daily mail 2) KPR, you probably thought he was the best striker in the world when he was with you so it sort of harms your integrity when you say he is worth half of andy carrol.
He was one of the best strikers in the world. He isn't now. No integrity lost there, unless you live in a suspended world where nothing ever changes. Oh, hang on, you're an Arsenal fan. Stand down, everybody.
The critical phrase in that article is "A Chelsea insider said". In other words, the Mail spoke to one of the tea ladies and asked them to say something about Torres. Abramovich is obviously going to be unhappy with Torres' lack of form, but based on past form he's more likely to sack Ancelotti and try and bring in a manager he thinks can get more out of the player. So, Rafa for Chelsea next season? That would finally end the debate about whether he can succeed in the PL with proper backing!
With transfer fees likely to plummet dramatically over the next couple of years, with the realisation that sturridge is likely to be the long term answer, then perhaps it's not outlandish to suggest they will try and cash in now for every time he plays his value drops but I would hope such a bastion of journalism would be privy to the thoughts of people nearer the inner circle than the char lady
Torres was a top player. For over a year at Liverpool he was awful.Long before January. He scored goals yes.But his overall performances were dreadful. I've not lost any integrity.Arsenal fans said the same thing about Adebayor. They said he wasn't the same player he was at Arsenal when he joined City. They even nicknamed him ''Greedybayor.''.Or what about the time Ashley Cole joined Chelsea,When he went back to highbury they chucked pound notes at him and called him ''Greedy Tweedy'' and A Hole.
Thats very observant of you.... well done. We all thought he would never leave Liverpool, and ignored the rumours in the media. Where did that get us? Yep he left. Whilst I agree that it is the daily mail, there is generally "no smoke without fire". The article basically says if he doesn't improve then Abramovich may look to sell him. It doesn't say he is going to sell him.
what a stupid comment!!! torres proved to be well class with us and if he hadnt spat his dummy out and realised what kenny was going to do or what plans he had he might still be here now,i mean he must be hanging his head in shame when he realises what he could of done with a partner like suarez, stupid typical arsenal deluded comment.
Torres did a ''Michael Owen''.I hope it comes back to haunt Torres in the same way it did Owen.A while after Owen left Liverpool having spat his dummy out,Liverpool were crowned kings of Europe...I know that won't happen, but I'm convinced Liverpool are onto big and better things.
Fools and their money anyone. Taibi. Smith. Veron. Carrick Hargreaves. Berbatov. Anderson. Bebe. Big money, but not exactly world beaters, now are they?
andy carroll is a big typical english centre forward tall strong and hard,he can score with his head and feet.i dont care how much he cost.he is english talent coming through you should be pleased that england has talent like this as he is only 22,or is the fact that he signed for liverpool is what gets your goat? sad people really sad,he is ENGLISH for crying out loud.
Jimmy Carter Itsvan Kozma anthony le tallec: Sean Dundee: Torben Piechnik: Bernard Diomede: Salif Diao: Paul Stewart: Traore: Jan Kromkamp Mauricio Pellegrino: Julian Dicks Andriy Voronin Nunez: Pegguy Arphexad: Craig bellamy: Alberto Aquilani Lucas Agog Carroll Too many more to recall just yet!!!
Usually commas are used to separate items in a list, but I see you've gone for the less conventional colon approach. It doesn't work.
I have to confess...I'm torn between wanting him to do really well so England have another top class centre forward, and wanting him to bomb so Liverpool don't win anything! I wonder, do any 'pool fans feel the same way about Rooney? Torres...well I just want him to bomb
swarbs rooney played for everton so to us liverpool fans there is always going to be that "banter".if rooney does well for england and he has great fine terrific, but when people come here and slate andy carroll when i bet they have not really seen him play, well it gets my back up,and come on he has been injured,he has not had a full season in the prem yet,so just knock it on the head.
How can you pass a comment on Carroll like that? How many games has he played? Once again you prove without a shadow of a doubt that you are indeed a ****ing stupid idiot. Not going to comment on the spelling and grammar in this thread??
