    Was bored so made the leaked kit as I would others, to get an idea of how it would actually look worn, this is what I've got:

    Doesn't look anywhere near as bad as the deformed photo, but still hope that it isn't the final design. Last year's kits weren't leaked until late May, so there's still hope.

    That one doesn't look too bad but the real photo does. Its the big black stripes that does my head in, its horrible. I only hope the back isn't as **** as it has been in recent years with just a blank space, although looking at the real photo, I can see a black back.

    Yeah it looks like it will have a completely black back, was there ever a ruling which made that have to happen? Or just a way to try to gouge another tenner out of people to fill the space?

    Funny that you mentioned that as it was my next point. It seems the PL have a ruling where you must be able to see the numbers like they did in Europe a few years ago(our black and white backs had to have a black block in the middle to see the numbers). Its a shame because it takes away the pure Black and White barcode image that we have had throughout our existence.

    those to massive black stripes are annoying me,I dont like how the sleeves are plain and i preferred the crest in the middle

    Am I the only one who genuinely likes this new (albeit leaked) kit? Yes the black on the original photo was quite ugly- but compared to the latest one it doesn't seem to be that bad! Can't wait to get Ben Arfa 10 on the back.

    On another note, how awesome would it be if the numbering was gold? The puma logo suggests it could well be, fingers crossed! <ok>

    Also, it would be a lot better if the black background of the northern rock logo was part of the kit and the lettering printed onto it and not just one big sticker

    it's growing one me. i might consider it.

    come next season though, i'll probably want it.

    although, i've had a few (a lot... taking me aaages to type this properly)
    i dunno. i kinda like it. it's different. hopefully the away/3rd have ****in decent collars!!!!!!

    aye if the lettering was gold would be good
    the back on this years shirt annoys me. looks weird without a name on it.

    and the sponsor/ logo are daft. a sticker and some stick on ****? pfffttt

    I'm not convinced Leazes. I'm watching MOTD now and both West Brom and Sunderland have striped backs, and looking to Europe so do Barca and Juve. Its clearly just to get more people getting names and numbers, fine if it looks good but it'd be nice to have a fully striped kit again for a change.

    I like it but why do they insist on placing the Puma motif in stupid places? I altered the leaked image on the other thread so that the logo was in the more traditional place just opposite the badge and it looked loads better. I'm all for experimenting but I don't see the point in changing things for the sake of it.

    From the leaked photo, it seems that the material behind the NR logo is that same as the shirt.

    The leaked photo looks too, for lack of a better word, 'shiny'. Like every time you put it on it's gonna cling to you like a fat lass on a friday night in North Shields.

    Hopefully the released shirt isn't as tight as that one looks or theres gonna be some canny sights around Newcastle for the next year

    Only thing that really bothers me is theyre keeping the cheap crest. Would prefer it embroided rather than being just stuck onto the shirt with a white border. The rest of the shirt isn't so bad I guess, just fewer stripes.

    I really like this kit, just hope the huge black stripes aren't as big if it's real and the Puma logo is lower down, it's on your shoulder in that one, looks ridiculous IMO.

    I just bought myself the 96/97 retro shirt. ****ing sexy shirt. Nice fabric it looks like.

    30 quid but it's worth it.
