I have a real positive feeling today about the takeover, in order of why: 1) Warnock met with Bates last week, he is still our manager a week after the meeting and he gave a press interview about the opening fixtures, we are talking Neil Warnock NOT taking the opportunity to tell the press that he is disappointed with the lack of signings. 2) White, Snoddy and McCormack haven't left yet, White is now out of contract, I can only assume he is waiting on an improved contract from new owners. 3) Agreeing with an article I read the other day over the length of time this is taking. In short if they were miles apart on valuation and details then it would have broken down by now, this lengthy time suggests the finer details are being finalised. 4) Rumours are gathering pace and it is all mainly positive rumours, before it was 50/50 between falling through and coming off. I know that they are all rumours but like Simon-21 pointed out SOMEONE is bound to actually know something, the whole of the Elland Road set-up cannot all be in the dark.
I think you have way too much respect for Warnock. I think you need to remember he is on the highest wages for any manager in the championship
Proof that he is? - Either way you get what you pay for and I am sure he doesn't need the money or the hassle
Ristac, all this positivity. You know you can get tablets for that. Will cure you very quickly. Just go down to the chemists & ask for a bottle of Bates -15 elixior of life. Cures all known forms of happiness. Either that, or cross the pennines. Makes anyone depressed living left of the pennines & closer to the theatre of dreams... er sorry nightmares!!!
I actually can't be bothered to search for proof and can't particularly remember where I saw it either so may not be 100% true but he'd still be quite highly paid and if he is the highest paid in the championship its probably the highest wage he has ever been on which I doubt he exactly minds to earn that money anyway
http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co....leeds-united-let-s-crack-on-warnock-1-4658040 another article that suggests anything other than he is about to leave.
I thnk reading between the lines, that Warnocks has been frustrated as hell. He went to Monaco to see Billy Beard and must have been given some assurances. He's obviously fully aware of whats going on and will keep his powder dry until it becomes untennable and he's forced to walk. If Bates assurances work out, he'll be around until he's not backed anymore. I think he's just like us in some way, he wants it done and dusted so we can all get on, us dreaming of new players and him trying to spend cash.
I agree with your awesome points. I too am being positive. Mainly through being bored of being negative. Hurrah!
Carrying on into today - decent signing yesterday, might we get another today or the big announcement we are all hoping for...
Is a 33 year old a decent signing, or is he there to do a specific job for a couple of years? Obviously has plenty of experience. So will be able to help Lees develop as well. But I hope White re-signs, as we will lack pace across the team if he doesn't. That said, in Warnock I trust. MOT
Well two signings in two days, still I await the big TAKEOVER maybe the positive vibes will last a few more days
