Rate The Player - Adel Taarabt

  1. Premiership Class. One of our key players last season and next

  2. Potential. Excelled last season in the CCC, but could find the step up a challenge.

  3. Squad. Did enough in the CCC to secure a berth in the squad, but will only warm the bench.

  4. Did OK against Leeds and Donny;the prospect of Man City and Arsenal is too scary to contemplate.

  5. Didn't contribute enough last season - certainly shouldn't be on the bus this year.

    Tarbs was sh**e until Hughes came in...no point even discussing that...

    MH made a massive diffrence to him and towards the end of the season we saw the player he could possibly become.....

    Was he getting better, or, was he putting himself in the shop window...?

    Not sure TBH. All i know is i wish we'd taken that 16 mill from PSG when we had the chance. Cant see anyone taking a gamble on him till Jan at the earliest.
    If he keeps improving under MH then i hope we keep him, If not then he's a wasted space in the 25.....

    I Also defy anyone to explain how he was one of our key players last season, when he missed 50% of the games? and was crap in half the ones he did play?

    We are, you are correct. This thread was bumped from before last season to highlight those who questioned (and got slated for it) whether Tarbs had the right attributes to make the step up.

    Sadly, they were proved right.
