THis is my online newspaper as much as its yours ... I couldn't give a **** about a mood ... I made a comment and others have made comments about that comment ... I do not walk the line on any topic i don't believe in and because i have a written voice I use it. On one owns internet gossip ... wake up
Why say anything Dave ? Why say anything that could cause insult to others on here...??? Oh yeah i forgot, you want to be seen as this intelligent, controversial figure that everyone can go 'wow, what a funny guy'. Believe me bruv, you aint, and people don't.
That's a bit below the belt ... Madness? I hope you are not suggesting anything here ... of course i know Sooper wouldn't but its time to thick hard and honest about the way this stuff is served up to us the public and stand your ground and have a honest opinion ... its your now after all? I guarantee you all that the reporting on this matter will be designed to bend the truth and adjust your own perception ... god help the families if they find any dirt then they have got their story
Shall we spare a thought for the train driver and his family as he maybe suffering now, a selfish act with no thought for anyone else, DT I for one do not find anything you have written offensive.
Good point but this is a forum and someone posted this story for i take it ... comment ... don't get upset if you can't agree with it . It will take more than take to tickle my goat Staines ... I know exactly who and what i am and having this insight allows a person not to be effected by it. I can guess that the collective opinion may be different from mine ... adding insults sort of proves that maybe my thinking could be correct after all...
Swords read what I have written mate before jumping down people's throats, it was quite clear what I wrote "shall we spare a thought for the train driver and his family as they maybe suffering"
I don't know the details of what happened at all but then again I don't know the dead person or the train driver. IF: A train driver witnessed a death in front of him I agree ... it's a selfish thing to do Suicide is a selfish act IMO ... My opinion based on real life experiences. Staines did say one correct thing ... Why say anything? ... he was right about that bit but i also stand that because i did its my opinion and I stand by it. Maybe we should have a dead thread each day so as people can comment their respects ...unless it was of direct interest i wouldn't comment out of turn ... I am willing to bet that some would and we would all be debating about the death. If someone writes a sad loss to cricket then what is the respectful reply? if we all know that then why comment at all? This particular story is about a cricketer on my football forum I think i am entitled to comment just on that basis
Boy it must be the height of the off season. We will argue about anything. Give it a rest. It is a truth about the internet...anything you write is immortalised in the ether for ever...can be pulled back forever, to pick over and scrutinized. If we were standing next to Oddball and he said "Howzat", one person may have heard him and may have just said a rather ironic "What!!!" It would not have been there forever There would have been no protracted argument and discussion because all our little minds would have been distracted by the next "shiny" thing that would have grabbed our attention. Look let it go, getover it. On a scale of 1-10, what Oddball said rates 0.00005 Bored now...going over to the Thread about signing Johnson
Are we sure its suicide? It seems that he was pissed and running so I presumed he had fallen onto the track. Do we know otherwise. Such a waste and so so stupid which makes it all the more tragic.
That was the gist of my earlier comment. A 23 year old with the cricketing world at his feet is chased by the police who lose him and within an hour he's dead on the tracks, madness and a waste of a young life...
Sounds like he was being chased by the police after being spotted driving erratically. They stopped him and he managed to make off and ended up going down and onto the line at, or near, Wimbledon Park station. He was found further down the line. Reports have him being hit by a train, whether this was before of after he died is not made clear. Whether this was an intentional act or accidental due to him trying to get away is not reported. Whether he was under the influence is also no known. How and for whatever reason it happened it is a great loss to his family and a loss to his sport of cricket.
