If we're re-evaluating the likes of Hill and Mackie, I think its only fair do it with Tarbs as well because as much as Oddball and COL hate it, he does polarize opinion. (Cheers North)
I noticed that North! We all know now that Tarbs failed to make the grade last season. And if this is a fair and balanced Forum, I think I'm entitled to expect COL and others to say to those of us who voted 2 or 3, that we were right and give us the respect we deserve. Surely when someone calls summat wrong, they should hold their hands up and show a little humility?
I disagree, thought he did well, once he was managed right, Clive had it spot on(as usual) http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/footba...f_term_report,_every_player_assessed_–_attack
Clive should give it less. The bloke can't stop once he gets going. Fair enough North but these were pre-season predictions and some were closer to the mark than others, wouldn't you agree?
Badly Managed or not, 1 was the incorrect prediction! He was no way near our most influential player like most said he would be. People only recognized his skill and didn't take into account his character which was always going to cause problems no matter who Managed him. You were the one who said COLIN needed a golden star for Managing him the way he did!
Why didn't he play against City, when someone to keep the ball would have been a good outlet? Discuss.
"Premiership Class. One of our key players last season and next" ======================================== That sounds spot on to me, the way he played in the run in. Warnock stopped managing him, cos he obviously didn't want him in the Prem, one of the many mistakes that got NELLY the sack!
Yeah and me! I was always anti Warnock and Northy slated me...Havin said that well done Colin for getting us back!
Indeed you were Ed. Funny thing is, I was always pro-Warnock................. I just liked winding Northy up!
There is no doubt in my mind that we lacked creative spark last season when Taarabt wasn't playing; he put in some excellent performances and showed that he could cut it in the Premiership - although we haven't seen anything like his best so far. He's even started turning in a good defensive shift when required... I hope he stays because he's the most entertaining player we have.
