Would be quite extraordinary if we went to Mexico for players, but it could be the sort of place where we could come across a gem although it would be a big risk. Mexico played well at the last World Cup too, so I'm sure there are some decent players there. Given that he'll probably cost in the region of £4-5m, I doubt we're ready to take this sort of a punt. The other problem is he is already 28, so he's not exactly going to be like Hernandez, where if the latter doesn't ultimately succeed at United, he'll probably still be able to be sold for a decent amount due to his experience.
Hughton is apparently on holiday in Florida, so a quick flight across the Gulf of Mexico and who knows.
I am sure Emmaunel Villa got a ridiculous amount of goals too and failed. I think at 28 too it's probably too much of a risk.
Yeah but he was less of a risk Bath, coming off the back of a season and only going up a tier is easier than coming from Mexico, speaking new language, climatising. etc.
I wasn't really being serious would rather a younger player. Not to concerned where from if they can get involved and play some good football.
