With quotes like this Harry seems to be losing the plot, no wonder Levy got fed up of him. Does anyone here really believe that: -----Parker----Gerrard----- -Milner---Rooney----Young- ---------Welbeck---------- is better than: -------Khedira-----Schwein------ -Muller-------Ozil-------Podolski- ------------Gomez-------------- or: -----Busquets-----Alonso------- -Iniesta-------Xavi--------Silva- -------------Torres------------- or even: ------Diarra------Cabaye------ --Menez----Nasri------Ribery-- ----------Benzema------------ I'm not one of these with a downer on England, but come on, let's be realistic.
I know they were pants this year but you forgot ------De Jong--------Van DV------ --Robben---Van Persie---Sneijder-- -------------Huntelaar------------
Our respect for 'Arry has really disintegrated since he left, hasn't it? Atleast he's not making these ridiculous statements as England manger though!
Harry's a triffic man manager and is boosting the lads confidence in themselves so they can be world beaters Harry for England
Yes, I saw that quote this morning, didn't have the time to read the article. I wasn't sure if he was joking. If he was serious, oh dear! I have thought that he ought to go for a while now. This just confirms my belief that Levy did the right thing.
Spain, Germany, Netherlands, France, Brazil, Argentina, are all better. Others a borderline and will change depending on opinion too (e.g. Portugal, Uruguay)
I'd put those in the opinion section, yeah. Couldn't be bothered to list every nation in that category, so just put a couple. Portugal would be way above England but for Postiga, who is laughably sh*t.
Come to think of it, if Italy saw sense and dropped Balotwatti for Di Natale, they'd be yet another to add to the list. Basically, the front six of England is better than...Angola's.
To be fair he was talking about the Euro's so it's unfair to mention Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay. Also definitely wouldn't rate Croatia or Russia's front six higher. Good individual players such as Dzagoev, Arshavin, Modric, Rakitic, Jelavic etc... but some average players alongside them.
Fair enough. I didn't see the clip in question, I was just responding to the thread title which didn't mention the Euros.
Srna Vukojevic Modric Peresic --- Jelavic Mandzukic --- I'd take that over the persistence of picking Gerrard for his skill in winning penalties...
That's a little disrespectful to Angola... I would say the Vatican, but I've just been informed they genuinely do have a football team, so England's front 6 is better than.... Erm.... Pontipandy FC
