It's very simple Kiwi, he loves dishing it out. I couldn't give a sh*t what he thinks but when he goes totally over the top criticising me for making perfectly reasonable comments I'll give him it with both barrels. Some people can't take it and crawl away, I'll take him head-on...

Swords is a great poster. He makes perceptive points and has put up some of the funniest stuff I've seen on this board. When his pc packed up, the board lost colour. He does, I admit, go on a moral crusade every so often with personal criticisms flying - for reasons which I must say are mostly beyond me! But then if he didn't, he wouldn't be Swords. I guess you could say he's double-edged.
Can we start slaying some myths about Cerny here and now? Cerny was not "chased" away. He's an internet attention whore who wanted a reaction and got one. An empty bucket looking for somewhere to make a loud noise. No opinions, no insights, nothing. Just an anonymous nobody at the end of a keyboard looking to provoke a negative reaction out of people. Anybody up for discussing this? I ask because I still don't think some people get it. I don't think you do. If you're up for the discussion, here's my first question. What did he bring to this forum?

Deliberate disruption, ie a WUM. Swords is far more intelligent and uses one or two pet themes, tribalism and racism as sticks to beat posters with. A football forum is by it's nature tribal and a Euro or World Cup tournament is by it's nature nationalistic, two traits that stimulate Swords wumming gene. His open cheering on of Chelsea in the Champions League Final was deliberately provoking responses and Swords response was the clever 'village-idiot' posture saying he doesn't get it. DELIBERATE WUMMING...

Thinngs do get all too predictable when youi know pretty well who will say what on any given subject. With Swords and Dave in particular I never know, so when I see they have posted I go there first. Swords can be a real arse at times. However, ALL of us can be real arses at times. Very much including myself. the nice thing is, we all know it, and we're all RRR's. Personally, I want us to sign a spaniard, so we can hold up a huge sign with the words "R's Ole!" on it.
I can honsstly say i dont have a problem with Swords,sometimes he goes over the top,but in general his posts are rational he just throws his toys out the pram occasionaly
He gives it and takes it in good enough spirits. Some of the best posts have come in response to his devil's advocate like posts and I think he's pretty sharp on eliciting those responses. I think he provokes a lot for his own entertainment but is one of us and don't think his valuable place on this forum should be called into question.
