Ya mean the ones that were on .... then off & then on again .... apparently Hilts ! When the Malaysians had the opportunity to help Jones get a few players & lift the winding up order , did they ... no ... they spent their money on 50 % controlling interests . These guys are like a boa , they get a bit more grip & squeeze . They stoked fans against each other , let it simmer , then got their way .

Ya , out of the South west Lol !! . They could have payed a few million to pay the order bob & got Jones just a bit more help & they didn't . Would seem like a no brainer in how Jones & the team were going good but were pretty light on the bench . You might very well made it that first season the Malaysians were involved & they showed what they really wanted , control before promotion !

Please explain a bit more about the Malaysians and how they had the opportunity to help Jones get a few players & lift the winding up order.

When they were wheeling & dealing with Peter , knowing exactly how strained Cardiff were , the ticket fiasco , no money and such .... they had opportunity to show good faith by moving quickly with probably spending 6 million ( doesn't seem a lot as they dangle 100 million now )to pay the order and bring the squad some well deserved transfer help & a good bet on promotion . Instead , they just let the opportunity slide & left Cardiff to financially melt . I believe it was not long after that that they bought 50% controlling interest ... pretty cheap if I remember .

Ask yourself this , if Jones got Cardiff up his 2nd last season , how much would it have cost the Malaysians to take over Cardiff , how much control would they have , would they ever have tried re branding ?

we've had this conversation before crapperjack. Why put money into something you own a percentage of if no one else is puting in. You end up with less, they end up with more for nothing.

As for your questions as to how much it would have cost them to take over CArdiff if Jones had got them promoted, a hell of a lot more. The other shareholders would have seen their hold increase in value significangtly on the back of MAlaysian investment and it would have cost them more to buy everyone out.

Lets also red-visit the discussion about Uncle Huw and his love for Swansea. For exactly the same reason, he left them go bust so he could buy them on the cheap rather than buy them before they went bust when it would have cost hime more, NOT for the love of the club.

The extract is quite accurate :

It said Wales' second city ...

it did have a misprint though when refering to Cracker, "place with grids of grey streets and morose neighbourhood pubs" and insisted it was best avoided. I'm sure it should have been 'MOOSE neighbourhood pubs.....'

You're right, we shouldn't compare Tan and Jenkins, Tan did the honourable thing and stepped in BEFORE the club went bust.

Huw let Swanc go bust. Tan kept us afloat. Simple as, right? Even CrackedupJack can understand that? Please don't lecture us on business ethics.
