  1. These last few days have been me in hyper mode, i'll go back to making 2/3 a day or less like i used to <ok>

Anyway, i just want to sum up everyones thoughts and opinions about tomorrows game.

    My line up -

    --------------Harper--------------

    -Simmo---Taylor----Colo----Enrique

    -Raylor---Barton----Guthrie---Jonas

    -------Shola--------Lovenkrands---

My honest prediction is 2-1 unfortunately, but i think it's an open game to be honest. Neither side in great form, we have a couple of injuries, but morale is low at the Vile.

What makes me confident is the fact that Colo has made a mockery of Bent twice, and dominated the ****er. But the combined pace of Villa's strikers and Wingers makes me quake a bit.

Taylor should definitely be playing this one. Williamson hasn't been bad, but he's just too shakey when it comes to passing in pressure and he'd have a hard time dealing with Villa's pace. We need to pass and pass well in this game, and i think Taylor would provide better passing, better pace and agility, and a better threat on goal.

    Your thoughts?

    Firsly, that's 5-2-3 not 5-3-2
    and secondly it's awful.

Jonas at RB? Did you watch the World Cup?

Would put Ferguson LM and Jonas RM, leave Raylor on the bench for now. Agree with the rest, BT.

I'm struggling to bring myself to say it, but Tash is right. 5 3 2 is mental.

  7. 4-4-2 would be the better fomation vs Villa.

  8. Mate, Stoke must be the slowest team in the league, and they made our 5-3-2 look like cack.

RWB Jonas would be better than Danny Simpson he was poor at Stoke playing RWB and he let's every winger we have played Lennon Jarvis run into our penalty area from half way line without making a challenge or sending him down the line with this form Taylor can double up with Jonas and help also Jonas alot better going forward we would have a lot of pace on the break with Jonas, Enrique going forward and 3 upfront we was solid against Stoke until Enrique got injured.

Danny Simpson last week let Jarvis Run from Half way line with the ball all Simpson did was jockey didn't make a challenge or show him down the line and they scored from it just like Lennon did 90th minute against us. Ashley Young, Albrighton and Downing will run riot, at least with 3 cbs one can help him out by doubling up. Campbell played against Stoke and Ferguson let them score the 1st goal by not stoping the cross.

I think Villa will PACK us home and crying but not drying'.

3-1 Villa. The pace will be too much IMO with Young and Bent, not mentioning Albrighton and Downing.

    Honest!

  14. As others have said, did you not watch the world cup?

    Jonas was terrible at RB.

Jarvis got the better of Simpson at times, but Simpson didn't perform badly at all. His pace allows him to get infront of players before they get a shot in.

I'm not sure how he'll do tomorrow, but he'd do better than Perch, Raylor, Taylor and Jonas at that position.

No 5-3-2, and i garuntee Pardew will have learned from the Stoke game.

    Definitely not, stick to 4-4-2.

    Simpson-Willo-Colo-Enrique
    Raylor-Barton-Guthrie-Jonas

Our right side will just get destroyed defensively and attacking wise then.

  18. You worry too much.

We made dramatic changes to the squad against Stoke because we were pissing ourselves about their supposed mass physical presence.

We shouldn't try to make dramatic changes to the line up, because when ever we do it falls back in our face.

Just because Villa are quick doesn't mean we'll be totally over run mate.

The fact of the matter is, their left side is faster than our right side, regardless of who we play there.

Our tactics should be to take the game to Villa, instead of worrying about their pace. We stuck with our 4-4-2 against Arsenal, but chose a more defensive tactic by not committing too many men forward.

It's not the formation you should change, it's your tactics.

Pardew is not stupid, he has shown excellent tactical awareness, and his experience has shown itself. He'll be aware of the opposition.

4-4-2. Raylor wasn't bad against Bolton, he just needs to stay on his feet because his tackling lets him down.

4-3 Villa. I honestly think it will be that open. Villa have enough on their day to rip us apart but I really don't think their defence is up to much. Of course it would be great to win and banish the memories of relegation at Villa Park but I would be happy with a point.

    Goalscorers:

    Young
    Shola
    Walker
    Bent
    Collo
    Barton
    Young

When you were relegated I seem to remember complaints that the villa fans were hateful and unsporting. If that's true how ironic it would be if they went down on goal difference after the hiding at badger towers. Was that the case or am I mistaken?
