The multi-talented, ego-laden Dutch started the tournament as one of the favourites yet leave it tonight pointless and in disarray. Not for the first time the selfish egos of the players have scuppered the team's chances of glory. RVP looked a shadow of the player that has terrorised PL defences during the past 18 months and the Portugese seemed to win in a canter. The line-up tonight promised so much and delivered so little, they were lucky to lose by just the one and I think the Portugese have the makings of a team that might just go all the way now Ronaldo has started scoring...

Three utterly embarrassing performances from Holland. As bad as England have ever been, have we ever underperformed to such an extent? Van Persie, Huntelaar, Robben, Sneijder all poor.

Holland were in the toughest Group with both Germany one of the big favourites to win, Potugal who most definetely looked very capable of winnning the whole circus tonight, and Denmark who are no walkover. Small margins went against them, with a bit more luck the media would be calling Germany or Portugal a catostrophy, but bye bye.

Holland worse than Ireland! 11 Van Awful's on the pitch. RVP for worst player of the tournament taking into consideration what he did last season.

Don't despair Swords! I think we are on the same plane. Right now we are about to land on a a sunny Greek island for some cold ouso and fried Octopus, which we can eat as we watch the German machinery get all fouled up on not just on Greek financial dispolicies, but on toatlly unpredictable Greek football, played by guys who look like all they have consumed for a week is Greek breakfast - Greek coffee and 3 cigarettes.
