Rob Green's Exit - A Personal Point of View By S J Chandos About 18 hours ago 44 comments If the latest reports are to be believed, Robert Green is on the verge of agreeing a Bosman move to QPR. It has been reported that Green has agreed a three year deal worth £40,000 a week. And QPR representatives have flown out to the Euro-Championships, where Green is currently on England duty, to clinch the deal. This is despite alternative interest from Spurs and WBA, who have either not pursued their initial interest or have been beaten to the punch by QPR......cont https://www.westhamtillidie.com/posts/4fdd3254baaaad1ace000057
Interesting read and a hint of intrigue too. I am certain this is good business for QPR, what ever the motives behind the scenes. Always encouraging to sign a player well thought of by his former team (cf Barton, sadly).
Good to hear that perspective and a bit of a relief that his report was so positive. No - one doubts, I trust, his shot stopping. We do need a leader or 2 at the back (not just Hill) and I was hoping our goalie may have been it. But IHWT and a the signing of a dominating centre half would ease my mind.
Its Flyer yet again messing with the facts. His astronomical signing on fee is apparently the deciding factor in the deal which he obviously won't get if he stays at W Ham.
He wanted 50k which is in line with the reports from a few weeks ago, WHU offered somewhere between 40 and 50k but he refused and then decided to leave. Then we would only offer him 40k so he had to take that.
