Milan was tight with the purse strings You didnt sign anyone there until you had a takeover. Pearson managed England youth teams and he knows alot of these players from there. Its not all down to Steve Walsh
We didn't sign anyone until the takeover because we happened to be in £50+Million debt maybe? Logical explanation. And if Pearson knew a lot of them, why didn't he sign many of them for you in previous seasons? Why did he choose not to be in contact with any of them when he left for you? Bit weird that.
He did. Through knowing players from the England set up he signed Jack Hobbs, Michael Morrison, Kerrea Gilbert, Mark Davies, Tom Cleverley, David Martin, David Stockdale, Mark Bunn and Nicky Adams
I just drew up a summary of you're last post, so the only way I can be wrong is if your facts were wrong. The rest of your post is just excuses for failures in the past and blind optimism for the future.
Have you not been reading the comments you idiot? We're on about signing Manchester United youth. You then come in with a comment about Pearson having contacts within England youth. That's not Manchester United pal...
What is this obsession with being Man Utd's youth team? Man Utd loan young players at a lot of clubs because they have such a large academy programme, there's no special connection with Hull. You just seem to have an obsession doing United's dirty work by blooding their youngsters and allowing them to make their youthful mistakes at your expense. Like you implied in your previous post, it's never got you anywhere, because if they're any good, Man Utd will have them back at the end of the season or they'll look for a Prem move.
Oh you mean Warren Joyce, the guy that opted to stay as Man Utd's under-18s manager rather than manage the mighty Hull? Amber and black all the way through obviously.
He'd rather stay at Manchester United... Who wouldn't? Still doesn't change the fact that he recommends us to his players therefore being the strong connection.
He did indeed and that was a nice attempt at deflection, but it still pisses all over your no connection claim.
Can I just ask, does it really matter who has more connections at Man Utd? Hull have links through Warren Joyce in Utd's academy and Nigel also has some links to Man Utd but not as strong whilst probably having links at more academies through Steve Walsh and his time with England - shown by the list Proud gave from Nigel's first spell. Where is the issue?
Because he's an ex-player? Sorry, but if he really does send players on loan to a average, midtable Championship club because he used to play for them 12 years ago, rather than a club play good football and/or in the upper reaches of the Championship, then that would make him very unprofessional. Therefore I doubt this is true. In addition, he only become manager in Dec 2010, you lot talk like you've had a "special bond" for years.
No but you did accuse of of being an . The flaw with this is. We didn't splash millions on numerous players, and still finished above you and was in the Play off picture a lot longer than you too.
You're changing the subject. I'm talking about your imaginary special bond with Man Utd. There's no question that, despite our similar league positions, you were much happier with where you finished than we were.
