So it doesn't say in Sahih Muslim and Sahih al-Bukhari that she was married at 6, then?
    Another bit of pick-and-choose theism?

You two want to be careful - you'll be accused of being hypocrites for reading and then commenting about something that you don't believe in. I'm sure that would really ruin your respective days <whistle>

really? ok mr google and wikki king. find the references that are quoted in Bukhari/muslim and read the daleel

whilst at it read what Ibn saad said in the tabaqat

hen read what aisha herself said about her age and when certain surahs/ayah were revealed

    then read Ibn Kathir

once you have done this, then you will see the age

Problem with people like you is that nt only do you have very little knowledge, but also you dont understand how things like hadith work.
and this is why your proclamations about your own faith (or lack of) are rubbish IMO. Basically as its not an informed decision

Its a judgement pre made, then held onto by the thinnest of threads. The main method being to focus on something that is a 'negative' (but oftne not even true as in the case of Aisha) which you attempt to use as a stick

keep trying though. only Jews and christians allowed marriages to children. Islam changed that

<laugh> thick **** <doh> it doesnt say she was pakistani. If anything it appears to be iranian/kurdish

Funnily enough, this is the educating bit, in pakistan jews and christians get married young. It becomes a cultural thing like naming your kid yusuf instead of joseph etc

In fact the pakistani (muslims in this case) often do the whole 'arranged' marriage thing due to Indian/Hindu culture simply due to history. In fact many of the customs displayed at 'muslim' weddings today in the UK have their roots in Indian/hindu culture than Islam.

As I said, just carry on proving how stupid you are. Calling me a thick **** degrades you more than it does me.

    Let's look at the facts:

    - The author is called Poonam Taneja, an expert in forced marriages in Asia, particularly India, Pakistan and Bangladesh
    - She is BBC Asia correspondent
    - The article includes a story about a 13 year old girl being abducted, flown to Pakistan and forced to marry a man twice her age
    - The 13 year old girl's name is Sameem Ali, a muslim
    - Pakistani muslims are well known for forcing young girls into forced marriages

You cannot win this argument Fan. You don't have the intelligence as has become evident with your inability to spell a word that's someone else (me) used to describe you, your inability to google said word properly and not even being able to send a PM despite claiming to have been an IT teacher. Plus a whole list of other examples of utter stupidity you've displayed on here over the last few months.

I'm not arguing with you. I'm merely pointing out facts. As I said to Jip yesterday, you have obvious mental problems and engaging you in any sort of debate will not help you.

I really do hope you get help overcoming your mental problems and that at some future point you are able to discuss subjects honestly and intelligently.

If someone claimed that they are clearly winning an argument because the other person resorts to insulting them, would their engagement in exactly the same thing mean that they've conceded defeat? Or would it just mean that they were a hypocrite?

that wasnt your original article, but never mind

its really sad what happened to this lass but if you read the article further she wasnt married at 5

'Samina was still a frightened girl of 14 when she went through the formal wedding ceremony which marked her transition from her parents' house to that of her husband'

As I said before some of the ''traditions' that occur in pakistani households are not 'Islamic' and are cultural.

These stories are indeed sad and shouldnt happen, however you cannot pin them on religion.
The rape of boys by priests occurs but it isnt christian

Where did I say I have a favourite? Have you got a strange disability that makes you read text that was never typed?

I said: "because I see more of my daughter so not being around her would be more of an adjustment." Does that not make not make sense? Do I need to use the capital, underlined letters in bold italics again and take you through it step by step?

As for Muhammad and Aisha, if he was such a great guy, why didn't he wait till she was fully developed? Whether this was common or not, surely a prophet could have waited? Especially as he had other wives. Why didn't he shag one of them until Aisha had at least finished puberty?

I can't believe anyone could follow a prophet who ****ed a child. Especially not a father like you. Unless you think 9 year olds are fair game? Maybe this explains those girls who were pimped and raped in Rochdale.
