hey all, first time posting but reading board when have time for quite a while from the devestation of notholt leaving to leadership of brix (reason i joined, great job), cerny predicting the sun will rise, rangers are gone, wait a sec we may be up, cerny said moon will go down, elation from liverpool game onwards (loved reading everyone else feeling the same!!!) and the final turmoil of last game at city which turned into the best day which was re-counted brilliantly by the blog (can't recall name, bit drunk after england game, sorry) about r's across the globe which is one of the best pieces of writing I have read in a long time (biased) Reason actually decided to post is I cant belive some of the comments on new/potential signings, dont mean to start a war, hence username, but sure I will. We have come a huge way in a short space of time, we were all very low not so long ago, we need to build and with that need experience. Nelson will be good, leader and can help archduke Anton, johnson obviously not number one but a great impact sub. Future are young players but to move on we need to consolidate, not sure owners will be here for ever but we didnt have a championship winning squad two years ago and managed to win the thing, few years back we were collecting in buckets for a forward, now we have cisse (who is best CF seen in years at LF) and diakate who is going to become immense. Who else are we going to get? Exciting times... Lets remember where we came from, we are aiming high but will be a journey, will be years. Come on u supppppppeeeerrrrr hooooppppssssaaaa
Great post Duke, we must remember where we were for the last fifteen odd years. Welcome aboard buddy.
If we all agreed on everything it would be a very dull board but not arguing with the point you make.
Welcome, great first post. It reminds me off the the business Warnock did 2yr ago, experienced players he knows on frees. IHWT
Happy about where we are and what exciting times lay ahead. Remember the old days and have to pinch myself sometimes. Really trust Team QPR and see us moving on to be an established Prem club.
Welcome Sir I bloody love QPR always will and having just caught up with the entire TF interview on QPR player ... I am buzzing and if you haven't seen it watch it We have a superb chairman and manager a superb squad and everything is on the up. The best is yet to come: Warren Farm, a new stadium built with the LR atmosphere intact and we should all get used to progression at unprecedented level .. of course we will be becoming a brand and I for one have to accept that as we all will. Taarabt I am certain stays and will become a mega star next season... we really do have great team now .. real strength in depth Our journey has been fast and full of events don't expect that to slow down as our unique shirt is seen more and more worldwide. I know exactly where we are and i am looking forward to european football with QPR
Welcome Chap.....good post Couldn't agree more. Certainly don't mind incremental improvements. Hopefully we won't be relegation candidates again, and certainly won't be anywhere near Europe. Quite happy for a few "mediocre" years to give the old ticker a rest
Welcome Duke, or would you prefer ALF! (As Watford says, excellent user name.) Thank you for your kind words. Mod appreciation points in the post! Facts on new players are the same as ever. Whilst we can moan all we like about the managers' choices, it's their call at the end of the day (Briatore excepted!). As Northolt says, IHWT - for as long as it's working.
Welcome Duke. Personally I've no idea what IHWT means, but I agree totally with what you say. We've come a very long way in a short space of time, and it's exciting times to be an R.
