The jubilee showed everthing that is wrong in our society. Will state now I have nothing against Elizabeth Windsor, or her family, and am not in the least jealous of her wealth. However come on, this country has, and is still taking savage pay cuts in all aspects of society, and fools celebrated a woman who became head of state, by an accident of birth, and avoided death, with no one else able to challenge her position, an appointment for life, unlike the general working person, who in a lot of cases have to fight tooth and nail, and are regularly threatened with redundancy. A lot of people would say her position is discrimination, because your sons and daughters can not apply for it, while she laughs all the way to the bank. Thank goodness one of her useless sons, Andrew has been relieved of his trade envoy job, ten years too late, but never mind. This was when he had a close friendship with the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, and a senior retired diplomat branded him a boorish bungling freeloader, a lot of people thought him out of his depth to be an envoy.Charles Windsor has for years thought to have lobbied in the political world, it was revealed he tried to get homepathic medicines on the national health, thank goodness it failed. It was back in 2004, it was revealed in an F.O.I. request that the great girl tried to get a grant to heat her palace, from a fund set aside to help poor people with housing grants. You can not get any F.O.I. requests for this mob now, Mmmm, how very strange, not. What I am saying to you royalists, is read the small print, and do not let your heart rule your head.

The great girl not cash rich, oh really, think you will find it is in excess of 349 million, not bad for someone who got her position by an accident of birth, and has never won an election in her life. Your not reading that small print I told you about, the money this lot gets from us does not end there, the figures do not include generous tax breaks they get, grants, and do take notice of the massive amount on security that is paid out for these undesirables. Not sure where your source and evidence is for the tourism hoodwink, or perhaps I do, probably the P.R. department of the palace. There are hundreds of tourist hotspots in London, and for that matter all over the country, do you seriously think that Franco and his wife are coming to London on holiday, because they might just get a glimpse of the great girl and family, come on behave yourself, that's right they would come anyway. I have every right to live in this country as you have.
The monarchy should be disbanded completely, no iffs, no buts. They are the biggest benefit scroungers in the country. William Windsor has a job has a job as a search and rescue helicopter pilot, if he still gets an allowance for being a royal, then this is wrong. Harry Windsor is supposed to be an army man, but when he goes to a war front, he is withdrawn, very strange, thought they signed up to fight our cause. What the fu** did he sign up for. The Queen and her husband should just be retired and live off a pension, which lots of people have to do. Hereditary public office goes against every democratic principal. If you do not hold the Queen and her family to account, there is nothing to stop them abusing their privelege, misusing their influence, or just wasting our money. Do not be fooled by the figures that the P.R. department of the palace say it costs the taxpayer to bankroll these scroungers. They say about 37 million, the true cost is thought to be over 200 million, as they do not include grants, tax breaks, and security costs for this mob. Very sorry to say, we will never know the true cost, as freedom of information requests are now not allowed against them, how very convenient. You just think of all the thousands of extra nurses, and police we could employ, for the fortune it costs to bankroll this lot. You ought to be ashamed of yourself for support of this family. we are supposed to be a democratic country, do not mean this in a nasty way, but if you can not see through overwhelming logic, I do feel sorry for you, read the small print.

TS so what ever came in to replace the monarchy wouldn't cost alot of money? It certainly would cost money if you have a monarchy or an elected head of state. One thing for sure is an elected head of state wouldn't bring as much money into the country as the monarchy!! Not that i think this is the main argument for keeping the monarchy.
Am just recovering from serious rib problems. This was because of hilarious mirth at Charles Windsors latest honours off his mum. These are admiral of the fleet, field marshall, and marshall of the Royal Air Force, what a fuc**** insult to all our serving forces personnel. Our national anthem W.C.P. is surely the worst national anthem in the world, in terms of quality of music, and as you have written gives praise to one woman, and not the country, as a national anthem should do. Not sure where your evidence is itfcptc that this shower bring any money into the country, suspect you do not know, and you made it up. Visitors to our country visit many different attractions in London, and all over the country, you must be off your rocker if you think someone is coming on holiday here just because they might get a fleeting glimpse of the great girl, please behave yourself, show some decorum and do not use hijack propoganda. You realise that this royal lot are plentiful, and it costs an absolute fortune in things that are not revealed, such as security costs. You must be a pretty poor money person, if you could not work out out a budget millions of pounds lower than the present incumbents. The thing is though, if people hated a particular head of state, they would have a chance of getting rid of them, unlike the great girl. The republic in southern Ireland is by far cheaper to run, than the money we fork out for these scroungers, yes its a lot smaller than our country, but on a pro rata basis its a lot cheaper, its also more grown up, responsible, and more accountable.
I thought the Republic Of Ireland we're broke... I'm a royalist . It sets our country apart from all the other countries . I'm a proud of our history which the royals are a large part. As for the national anthem i tend to agree , i would like Land of Hope and Glory. The yanks love the Royal family and they flock over here because of them $$$$$$$$$$$$. TS i just can't understand how you think if you are a proud English / British man ...

TS would you like me to email you the details of how much the monarchy bring in, I geuss you want the hardcore evidence? Many people come to see the Queen and her establishments, just look at how many people came from foreign nations to the jubilee. Plus I'm not sure who's side of the argument this backs up (as I said for me it's not the main reason for me wanting the monarchy) but if we were to get rid of the monarchy do you think we would stop spending money on the establishments such as Buckingham Palace, Windsor castle etc and let them go into ruin or get rid of the guards carriages etc? I'm also with you on the God save the Queen thing, like you say you're singing about one person ontop of which as far as I'm aware the majority of people in this country don't believe in God or are agnostic!! Land of Hope and Glory would be more appropriate. I have to say I quite like the French national anthem (surprisingly considering the debate we are having). The monarchy is not in the same as it was hundreds of years ago, if it was i'm sure there would be fuss, that would be ridiculous. I'm all for democracy but if we were to have an elected head of state, they would most likely be of a similar make up of whoever was in power or would want to be in that position for political reasons, which i think is wrong!! It's abit why I am unsure about having an elected House of Lords, it needs reform but if we were to have an elected House of Lords, I would imagine it would look pretty similar as the House of Commons and therefore most likely not hold our politicians to account. In the current state the Monarchy does a good job of representing our nation and holding the government to account and is a stable influence in the country as they are always there and have been for years, they are the stability where governments come and go every few years and whilst they continue to do this I would not say I am a royalist but definitely pro the monarchy as it stands!! The Jubilee celebrations were although celebrating the royal family were more in appreciation of a women who has forfitted her life to serve the country, yes she certainly has perks but there are certainly disadvantages also!!
Yes good shout jwm, would be a lot better. However whats the point of playing any national anthems at any international matches, to me it just inflames everthing, countries boo each others anthem, seems to pump up the crowd in the wrong way, and make people aggressive. Your there to kick a ball around for gods sake, your not going into war. Why on earth would anyone want to watch 22 grown men trying to sing, its a football match, not the x factor, if I was a player I would like to warm up. We have enough of this kind of nonsense in our division, with this ridiculous shaking hands BEFORE the game, all to do with the respect campaign towards referees, baloney, surely they can not be wishing each other good luck. Get on with the fu***** game.
