I think Carroll and Welbeck could work well, especially with Woy's defensive tactics. The out ball to Carroll who can hold it up and bring others (Milner, Young, Gerrard) into play whilst Welbeck gets in the box. Carroll also offers that threat in the air that will occupy the the minds of the Swedish defence allowing Terry and Lescott a better chance at goal too.

 

england need someone to blame... after all nobody' got the blame for falling back after scoring one against the run of play v france and then conceding.

france had nobody upfront, we got lucky.... i'll be interested to see what an unimpressive sweden do against an england side incapable of two passes in a row.... should be a really good game... not.

Good move in my opinion, should be able to take care of Ibrahimavic when defending set pieces and corners as well.

Very surprised to see Oxlade-Chamberlain being the suggested man changed, I thought Ashley Young didn't particularly have a great game against France.

I Wasn't fond on Milners performance either, but that is probably bias to him missing that chance. Good decision though thought we missed him last game; even off form he wins the ball in the air and would change the dynamics on how England attack (something we missed against France imo).

Hoping he does play!
