No probs, Breezy and I was hoping that something special would mark my one thousandth post on this Forum, so I'll say it just one more time: MY DARK HORSE CAME IN!!!!!!! WHOOPEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I feel so good I thought I'd share something personal with you guys. This really is a red letter day for me because about four years ago I had cancer surgery which was successful. Thank God. Unfortunately, just before Xmas last year, it returned. I had to undergo a further six weeks of intensive treatment through January and February, following which I was pronounced clear again. This very day, I was in a critical meeting with my surgeon who confirmed that I was still in the clear (and looking good) when during this meeting my nephew in England phoned me. I couldn't take the call but, as soon as I got outside, I called him back and he gave me the glad tidings about Michael Laudrup. You can imagine how I felt to get this info on top of the great news I had just been given. My life goes on and I can share it with my beloved Swans who now must be looking good to stay in the Premier League. I must admit that, during the dark days, the success of the Swans was one of the things that lifted my spirits when I felt really down, so I took this latest news as a sort of an omen. Anyway, enough of the sentimental stuff. Onwards and upwards now for both of us and I hope you didn't mind me sharing the story with you all.
Ivor, I'm glad your still in the clear from a horrible illness, long may that continue. Here's to Mr laudrup, and heres to your good health.

Well done Ivor My wife had a scare couple of years back and the moment you are told your plans for the future evaporate in an instant. Glad you're still with us.

Great day all round for Ivor and the rest of us, who would have thought when we had Kevin Cullis announced as our manager all those years ago that one day we would be unveiling Michael Laudrup as leading us into our second premier league season.

Ivor - glad to hear your good news. Even better than the Laudrup news! Health is way more important than football.
More than 1% was spot on. But, as you say, just speculation. Fun for some to speculate, but obviouss some don't like it at all. Although they still speculate when it suits them. Anyway, don't know how I managed to comment on this old thread, as it cam up on some list and I commented before realising that it was old. So let's look forward to next lot of speculation instead.
Very touching ivor , I'm glad your doing well fella, I lost my uncle to cancer last week, to see someone go down hill so quickly was shocking and being told it was going to be weeks rather than months was news that was horrific for his/our families. Stay fit and healthy dude !
Cheers, Norway, your good wishes and those of my fellow posters are, and were, so very much appreciated. Cancer is a vile illness that strikes so many families, so it was nice to post something positive to show people that it can be beaten; to give hope to those who become stricken by it. I had a bad case but did nothing special to beat it other than hanging in there. So the message is, should anyone be unlucky enough to contract it, DO NOT DESPAIR!! Early treatment can deal with and get rid of many cancers and medical science has advanced so much that it is no longer a mandatory death sentence. Where there is life there is hope and everyday we move closer to the time that this accursed affliction will no more wreck the lives of so many.
