You must be a Sun reader, they talk that kind of ****e. I'm not getting involved in a pointless debate over who actually subsidises who, all I need to say is that i'm a "Taxpayer", and I therefore pay for the Queen and her minions. I never voted for her, in fact no one did, but there he sits atop a pile of cash and power because of an accident of birth and/or an act of God. Do you believe she was put there by God?

    No, I'm an atheist/sane.

How does it make you feel as a British ex-serviceman when your team allows banners into the ground featuring mis-spellings of the word "bloodstained"?

And that has exactly what to do with the OP or any of the other points i have made here? Are you now admitting that your argument is in tatters and that you wish to take a convenient detour to other areas?

My argument is that foreigners have no right to come here and tell us what we should have, do you disagree?
As for my confusion: an ex-forces British celtic fan? Computer says no.

The pope does indirectly take tax from you...to fund the schools that spread his poisonous doctrine. I don't want to pay for those either.

How did I miss this. One of the funniest things on this site is when the Scottish feel slighted, they all scramble around like headless chickens laying (gag) into whoever DARED question/criticise their country.

What you really mean is it doesn't compute in your tiny, closed mind with it's simplistic red, white and blue view of the world.

As for your second point, they are not his schools.

I don't think I've ever read a post from you where you have made an accurate claim.

    Quite an achievement really.

Oh, and another thing, you can't grumble as you don't pay any tax!

Stereotypist, all you do is insult other forum members. I have never come across someone so easily offended and yet so eager to offend.

Some people deserve to be insulted, including you with your ignorant, Daily Mail-inspired pish.

Away and **** off to a BNP meeting with the rest of the Union Flag draped, tattooed, obese, shaven-headed arseholes who spout the same ignorant ****e as you.

I pay tax to Guernsey who also has the Royal Family as it's head of state <whistle> I also pay a **** load of VAT on the majority of my income which is spent in the UK. While I am it I also pay for a tv licence, a Sky tv subscription, a quid every day or so for a paper and all the other media I consume which is determined to fill me full of this crap. Stop trying to find angles to make my opinions invalid <laugh>

As ST says. lots of assumptions and all of them wrong.

You assume because I support Celtic that I am RC, i'm afraid there's no dealing with your special kind of stupidity.

You don't need a computer to tell you "No", some of us have brains to do that for them.

So tell me again, why should I pay Taxes to keep the Queen in the manner she demands? Have people no right to protest about the manner in which their Taxes are being spent? I thought that was a basic tenet of a democracy? Would you deny people that right?

In the grand scheme of things the Monarchy doesn't cost a lot of money, and much of it covers itself with their portfolio of inherited riches. There are probably better ways of governing but the UK in general is governed pretty well. My main erk is not the existence of a constitutional monarchy but more that I should be forced by a media onslaught to actually be aware of their love lives - and that this political organisation is seen as inseparable from your core nationality. To not support the hereditary Monarch seems to make you less patriotic than the man who does.
