Us playing Third division football should be punishment enough. If the SPL clubs vote to allow us back in then I seriously doubt you will start being hostile towards every club - in fact you'll probably just claim its rangers cheating again. Even more so voting to allow us back in then giving us sanctions is just a heap of ****e, either vote to allow is in or not personally If i had any say in it I'd tell the other clubs they can vote yes or no and that would be it, not decide that we "NEED" them for financial reasons but we are gonna fine them anyway - that's simply hypocrisy.
Because its a fair punishment...................................................................................... Allowing us back in the SPL for financial reasons then giving us sanctions is just the dickhead money grabbing thing to do.
OK, so the punishment for liquidation is fair (it, like the European "ban" isn't really a punishment, though - a new club has to start off at the bottom). What do you think should be done for bringing the game into disrepute and the dual contracts (if proven - which it looks like it will be)?
Relegation to the third division, not even having a vote on allowing rangers back into the SPL in the first place I don't believe there is any other fair way to do it, being relegated is surely a weak punishment but being relegated to the lowest league should surely be punishment enough. I accept rangers did wrong under Murray and Whyte but I don't believe constantly fining us and allowing us back into the SPL will help and especially if another club goes through the same thing, then what? It would only be fair to allow that club back into the SPL as well, which would never happen because they don't bring money to the table.
Can someone give some clarification on premittable names for the newco if, as I'm sure I heard on one of the programs last night (sky plussed ITV and BBC versions so can't be sure which one) THE Rangers Football Club is just a trading style and going forward they aren't allowed to use such a similar designation to that of the liquidated club, Rangers Football Club. Okay when I say I want clarification on this I know I'm on an internet forum so I don't expect (many) fully qualified legal statements
In order for a new club to register with the SFL they must produce three years of audited accounts. Just sayin'
I tend to agree, if that's what eventually happens. If Rangers are voted back in I will be no more hostile towards the diddy clubs than I was before, if the Chairmen of the other SPL clubs allow Rangers a free pass then I will be no more angry than the rest of fandom in Scotland, probably about the same in that I will see it as a sickening money oriented sell out.
