Now HR is leaving spurs who else is waiting for rumors of him being our savior coming in to buy us and other crap like that, has anyone heard any good ones yet?
In the words of Captain Mainwaring: "Oh no no no no no. I think you're delving into the realms of fantasy there Jones" That said, I was about to start this exact thread - you know what people are like
Taking up what someone wrote on the news site, if Harry were to put a consortium together with Peter Storrie to buy the club and offered investment to rebuild, which would you prefer; them, Chanrai or the Trust?
I'd definitely go for the Storrie Rednapp partnership. Keep a very high pressure on them to invest and make sure they do what they promise. At the same time change the board of the trust with genuine and very competent fans - who are more than a match for Storrie - who will be able to effect a buy out. Then SHAFT the buggers - good and proper - let them live out their days in penury. Oh yeah. Retribution!
Where does Redknapp go from here. His wife won't budge from Sandbanks, can't blame her for that, I think he's going to call it a day.
I seem to remember a few years back, when he said Pompey would be his last managerial post he mentioned something about buying Bournemouth. In hindsight though, he will recall saying that Portsmouth is his spiritual home, so he may find Pompey a better option. Oh stop it. STOP IT!
Oh dear Oh dear What short memories some people have I suppose desperate times can call for desperate measures but brown envelope Harry.........................Please
Perhaps 'Arry could build us a new ground on the land he presumably still owns on Southsea sea front, where the unfortunate fire took place. The training ground and Youth Academy could be built on the beach opposite the land. There you are, all our problems sorted
Seriously? You dont think that the people above were taking the piss about Redknapp and Storie buying the club?
The Atomium is a monument in Brussels, originally built for Expo '58, the 1958 Brussels World's Fair. Designed by André Waterkeyn, it stands 102 metres (335 ft) tall. It has nine steel spheres connected so that the whole forms the shape of a unit cell of an iron crystal magnified 165 billion times. please log in to view this image Iron y doesn't get much bigger than this. Usually.
NO, I think there is a lot of Pompey fans, Sorry when i say a lot of pompey fans, that means a couple, that believe HR will return like a Knight in shinning armour.
Really? And you believe that of the Pompey fans on here? Lets see shall we. The title of the thread if "Let Silly Season Start" followed by an opening statement of "Now HR is leaving spurs who else is waiting for rumors of him being our savior coming in to buy us and other crap like that, has anyone heard any good ones yet?". Now, I dont know about you but to me that looks like a sarcastic comment. DevonFRATTONiser already told you in a different thread that he was taking piss during this thread. Then Leading Fish in Hants relayed a comment on the News website about a hypothetical scenario where Redknapp and Storie put together a bid to buy Pompey and asking who would be the prefered option to those of us on this board. To which PompeyMeowth said it was ironic that the Trust came after Redknapp/Storie and Chainrai - no doubt referancing the general untrustworthyness displayed by all three in the past. Then there was a brief Monty Python clip. And yeah, really, Monty Python are totally assoicated with serious debate. 3rd Eye then chimed in saying Redknapp and Storie should be forced to do it as recompense for their past misdemeanors and should be forced to invest all their money leaving them destitute. Then PompeyMeowth said Redknapp might retire and Devon added that Redknapp once said he's buy Bournemouth when he retired from management before adding that Pompey might be a better option - but having already established tat Devon thinks of this thread a piss-take I think its safe to say he wasn't being serious then either. At which point you chimed in acting as if everyone was being serious in talking about a potential Redknapp take over. Then Pieking asked how long it would be till Spurs are in administration and Wuperts Duck added a mocking comment about the Property Redknapp owns in Southsea that burnt down a while ago and that he's been unable to sell since. So, yeah, I can really see how everyone here is serious about the prospect of Redknapp taking over.
