are now really questioning their own judgment in having renewed for the coming season.

    <applause>

If you were still holding out, the pressure may be stronger on Ken to sell.

I was/am not a STH, but would not have renewed until I had seen the dust come off Ken's wallet

I stopped going in January 2010 when we didn't improve the squad and watched the season blow up in our faces. Obviously last summer was all about selling and not replacing, so missed the whole of the season, because I will not give Bates any more of my cash. Buying a ticket either for the season or match by match, is an investment from the fans. Bates promised that high prices was the only way to get prem football again, but he took my money and moved it offshore for himself, whilst watching my team become a joke.

Once he's gone or I see investment and ambition I'll be back. Amazing how gates have fallen recently, yet our away support is still massive and increasing. Talk to some of them and they'll tell you they love the club and travel to see them, but will not give Bates any more cash

    Absolutely spot on.
Me & my mates never went to Elland Road at all last season (despite desperately wanting to go we held out) but went to more away games than ever before.
we made the decision as tough as it was, not to keep giving Bates the coffers to spend on anything he liked when he hardly spent on the team.
Even though we have given the club £40 to renew our memberships, it is a small price to pay to watch OUR club away from home & the minimum we HAD to give to Bates to enable us to see our team & give the TEAM our 100% support (as hard as it was at times - e.g. away at Barnsley on New Year Eve!!!!)

I wont critisise anyone who di go or still intends to go, everyone is entitled to make their own choices in life, but I think if Bates is reluctant to go, the only way to hurt him is in the pocket.
He is the most money motivated sewer rat (sorry sewer rats!) that walks this earth & if he isnt getting the money he wants, he will (hopefully) piss off!
Then we can start to re-build our magnificant Club. When we get into the Prem, then we can worry about udating/buying the stadium etc.
    MOT.

Footnote to the 'potential buyers' PLEASE buy this Club off Bates - ASAP!

It is such a hard thing to do, boycotting the club you love. I feel so guilty sometimes, but I just have to hold out. All four in our family were members, but not renewing. We always got the shirts, home and away, no more. Programme subscription - cancelled. LUTV - cancelled. No more matches. I also used to do at least four home games with corporate hospitality which would cost around £600-plus a shot to entertain clients...no more. Bates has lost a fair bit of cash off me, and I suspect many more will follow. Yorkshire is tired of Bates and his shenanigans, and his moron quote was the last straw. I know he thrives on being controversial, but that was plain stupid. He must surely be looking at the balance sheet with trepidation and realising that if Leeds United folk really do decide to make a stand his stadium will be pretty empty on matchdays and he will be financially ****ed. He can't afford to let Leeds go into admin and lose the club for nothing, because if there is a next time he will not be invited by administrators or the League to buy the club back. It pains me to think that I could hurt my club by boycotting Bates, but what choice do I have left?

As tough as it is, the simple answer B.S. is that we do not have any other choice left.

Bates needs to go & take Harvey & Lorimer with him.

I'm going to be going to Manchester in just over 2/3 years time, and I would quite like to be able to buy a season ticket without lining Bates' pockets.

I hold my hands up to renewing my S/T. Tried holding off & missed the cheap renewal, but sorry guys, just couldn't do it. Ever since we were nearly no more, I promised God, Auld Nick, myself and anyone that would listen that I would turn myself inside out to attend games, if only the club could be saved (desperate, stupid stuff I know, but that's where my head was at at the time). But we were saved, and the stupid, superstitious part of me that I have little control of tells me I might be jeopardising the club if I renege on my 'deal with the devil'. Supposed to be a grown man too! I do promise however that if we have made no progress by the next renewal date, then I will do the right thing. End of apology with ridiculous (but truthful) reasoning.

Jock got to appluad you mate. However the way i feel, is that I invest a shed load of cash in this club and have done for years, yet Bates hasn't spent a penny of his money, and in fact just uses mine (Ours) for any crackpot scheme going. He gets richer off our backs whilst the team we support gets poorer and poorer as he sells better players and doesn't replace them. We have a share in those players because it was our money he used to bring them in. So the least he could do was reinvest some of the profits back into the team, instead of taking wheelbarrows of cash offshore

Maybe the Football League or the F.A. might like to ask the same question or indeed answer that question!!

Bates will go only when it suits him.

If the takeover doesn't happen for whatever reason, the only way to get rid is to starve his funds.

But som leeds fans are too selfish - they just want him toleave without the pain of having to do anything first. It is what he is counting on. He will be here as long as we make it worth his while
