He is grasping at straws - he knows that Cardiff are in danger of doing "a Cardiff" and bottling it. Anything to deflect the attention away from them.

Deep down Jonesy is gutted. The closer it gets to the end of the season and the more obvious it becomes that Cardiff will miss out again, expect more of the same bitter talk.

to be honest, Jones does have a point> Why does the FA deem it suitable to have the trial near the end of the season? Maybe a fine or a points reduction which won't affect QPR or the final positions has already been "agreed or discussed" - this is my own take rather than based upon anything I know. If I was in Jones' shoes, I would however be more concerned with winning games to ensure Cardiff's play off spot. This whole episode does seem perculiar bearing in mind how quickly Rooney was dealt with, and this has made me wonder about something else: If Cappello gets by on 100 words of English, just how many does Rooney know? (I would guess he is familiar with the word granny, prostitute.........)

I don't think Rooney knows more than 50. Square ball! Granny!

Who knows what's up with the FA?! They're a crazy bunch. You wouldn't know I guess, playing under the FAW and all that...:p

    Absolute tosh from that idiot!
It could be viewed that they are waiting till then so they know how many points to deduct us so we dont get auto promotion. It all depends if you are glass half full or half empty.

    I agree with Ninj.

'Maybe they are waiting to see where they are and how many points they're ahead to do what they've got to do," Jones told BBC Sport Wales.'

Jones suspects a pre-empted decision. Some sort of stage management for or against Rangers. What's the point of an Independent Inquiry if the FA have already worked out what they need to do to prevent a complete fk up. Jones is only saying what others, including ourselves, are thinking - and what the apparently incompetent FA are allowing people to speculate about through their actions in setting the Hearing date so late on. The fact is that no one knows where they stand and what the score is doesn't matter as much as what the FA decides. Something that should be decided on the pitch won't be and it's getting on everyone's bosoms.

The fact is we can say what we like on here - no one's listening. To have have someone with position and a voice, take the risk and criticise the FA ahead of time is a good thing. We need more of this kind of publicity from all the clubs affected - barring Rangers of course, for whom comment at this stage is rank sub-judicy.
