After the way Palace played and finished last season, I wonder why they are worse odds than us? Is there something I am missing...
As I came out of the supermarket after doing my shopping this evening on the bench outside was the "Bald Eagle" or at least someone who is a dead ringer!
We had a big visitor this week with a friend. The was a Boeing C17 Globemaster III and other airplane was an Antonov An-12, which was a lot smaller. The local government approved the tunnel as well. That is to help the economy here. In the last year unemployed people have dropped from 5,2% to 4.0% which is 170 people. I think a lot of the builders will come from Póland and Hungary, but they need food somewhere to live and clothes.
Attention to detail young man! You become very indirect when confronted, but if words like 'yer' are YO problem.just a bit of light heartedness ( look it up!)
Ak, wish it was but the Bald Eagle I'm referring to is Jim Smith, the former Oxford, Derby and Portsmouth manager.
I don't mind being rank outsiders to win the title. We are rank outsiders to do so. The problem is that the bookies assume that those least likely to get promoted are most likely to get relegated. Not so. There are plenty of clubs who will be rolling the proverbial dice this season. They could easily end up with either a glorious season, or egg on their faces, financial oblivion on their hands and League One misery on their consciences.
evening all...sorry to have been so elusive but i was watching the Spain v Ireland match that i'd recorded and didn't pop in in case someone let the score slip lol...hope you all had a good night! Hmm, might take a punt on us finishing top 6 next season, i wonder what odds we'd get for that
Morning all, serious problems today in rural France. Three electric kettles and none of them would work for my morning cuppa. As we will have to go to buy a new one it has been suggested that if we go a bit further, there is a nice garden centre we could visit. This sounds expensive now.
Morning all from bandit country - started off lovely, but the rain has arrived. Busy week-end ahead, I need to do some baking and be on call tomorrow and working all day Sunday - last rehearsal for a big software release due to July & August. I asked for some CD’s for my birthday, they were to replace some of my treasured vinyl collection which is going to be sold. Playing Crisis?, What Crisis? By Supertramp this morning – what a classic!
Morning all Still no telephone...it rings but you can't hear anyone at the other end. BT admits there's a fault but no sign of an engineer yet. We had a 60-second power cut on Tuesday and the phone and the HDD/DVD recorder haven't functioned since, though the power to them is on. Mrs H is making very untechnical-sounding noises about power surges. Anyone with any knowledge about these things got any suggestions? Everything else, including wi-fi is functioning OK. Don't think it's the phones, as we have reaplaced the old one with one bought yesterday with the same negative results.
Does your HDD/DVD machine have its own fuse? My CD player does and I only found out about it from the internet when I had the same problem. Where the power wire enters the box there may be a small round cap with a groove in for a screw driver. The fuse will be a small value, perhaps 1Amp. Telephones are not my knowledge.
morning all I think the sun is trying to peek back through after the cloud covered it this morning and that blasted rain started falling again! A fairly busy day today, doing 'stuff'..though i'm really not sure what it is, i just know it's going to be time consuming! lol. M Frenchie, enjoy the shopping trip, you know you wanna
Just had some crap news...a good mate of mine son is in the Grenadiers and is out in Helmand and one of his good mates was killed on Wednesday. Kind of puts things into perspective.
