I like main course/dessert scenario. Couple of slices with marmite followed by couple of slices with jam. Both best with butter obviously. The bedfordshire clanger of the toast world.
I can dig that... I do quite like my toast to be luke warm.. just so the butter partially melts.. though that said I think it does depend on the topping of the toast dictates the temperature i like to eat it at.. for example: Marmalade = luke warm toast partially melted butter Jam = hot toast melted butter Marmite = this depends on the mood.. sometimes totally meted butter is best and other times partially. though this again has a variable as to the bread used for the toast. pate= cold toast unmelted butter lashings of pate
What temperature of toast do you recommend or : a) Mackrel fillets on toast b) Peanut Butter on toast c) Beef Hoola Hoops on toast. Thanks
a) Mackrel fillets on toast - accompanied by a sauce?? I would say cold toast.. b) Peanut Butter on toast - hot toast melted butter... though we all know only women eat peanut butter so i asume you are asking on behalf of someone. c) Beef Hoola Hoops on toast. - shocking question.. crisps should never be applied to toast only furnished to bread with brown sauce Hope that helps.. Thoughts?
a) Mackrel fillets in tomato sauce on toast b) Yes I was asking for my twenty one year old son called Matth - he likes peanut butter on toast in the morning. Finally - I had left over chilli on toast yesterday ( as I ran out of Beef Hoola Hoops ) - the toast was warm but had no butter on it Thoughts ?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO chilli can not and should never be applied to toast.. buttered crusty bread dunked in chilli is acceptable.. or crush up a bag of doritos or such like and stir into reheated chilli is a winner
