The Ship of Theseus, also known as Theseus' paradox, or various variants, notably grandfather's axe and (in the UK) Trigger's Broom (based upon the BBC sitcom Only Fools and Horses) is a paradox that raises the question of whether an object which has had all its component parts replaced remains fundamentally the same object. The paradox is most notably recorded by Plutarch in Life of Theseus from the late 1st century. Plutarch asked whether a ship which was restored by replacing all its wooden parts remained the same ship. of course its not a new club fools, the players and staff are transferring across to the to the , err, new club with the same terms and conditions...err, if they want them, but they dont have to accept them and can walk away for free because the contract with the now defunct club has ceased to exist.... because that club has ceased to exist and there is nothing to have a contract with...its just a strange quirk of nature that they will have to have a new contract with the new club.....but its still the old club, obviously, I mean, why cant you see that ????
