*UPDATE* just been informed key issue is ownership of TA and ER. Word is Bates wants to push on with hotel/casino...that is going to take a stack of money and Bates wants some investment channeled in that direction as well as maintaining a say in LUFC. I am so ****ing disappointed!! He is dragging and dragging when our squad should be in place with warnock planning his strategy for promition. Does Bates not realise its this season or bust? We are falling so far behind now, and he is gambling on the supporters keeping the club in contention. Who the **** will want to do a deal with Bates? I am so fed up I can cry!!!!
Not sure about anyone else but I lost excitement in this quite a while back, one way or another I think every base has just about been covered.

The idea that this season is "make or break" is ludicrous. It's the same every year. Remaining a mediocre second division team is nto the end of the world and does not mean the club is dead in the water - the future is nigh! I love the "TA and ER ownership" angle coming up after TC had started the rumour (lies!) about Watts LLC and Tanenbaum. BS - why don't you just give up on your prattle about what you have heard, stop reading twitter and WACCOE, and just wait like the rest of us, or at least tell us that you got it off some guy you are following on twitter. All that is happening is one of the things you have predicted will be correct, because you have predicetd every possible outcome, you will conventiently forget about all the rest, and claim you were the one in the know. Elmo, I gave up on TCs thread ages ago. I get my info from a very reliable person. What is coming out is that there is a serious negotiation taking place, and Bates is holding out and ****ing things up. The takeover isn't a rumour, its real, and Bates is trying to squeeze everything he can from it. As I understand it, his big thing is to stay until Leeds are in the Prem and then he leaves with a huge payoff. Problem is, he needs someone else's money to get Leeds to the Prem. Then there is the hotel/casino that he wants to keep a share of even when he's left Leeds. My contact is pretty sharp with this info, and at least I have a better understanding. I just can't understand why Bates is taking so long to get things done. Is he in a bidding war, or has he managed to convince one party to invest for a minority share? It seems like a web of shi-t if you ask me.
Problem is, many other people picked up his thread and ran with it, including most of WACCOE. Your stuff seems ot be just a rehash of that. We know there is serious negotiation going on, that's why all is quiet. And that's why no-one - and I mean no-one - knows what is happening except the parties involved. So unless your source is part of one of the two parties and knows exactly where the negotiations are taking place, I suggest you stop listening to him and call it as you see it. If I owned LUFC and thought I could get more than what was being offered, I would hold out too. We know it's not a rumour. But there are many options along the spectrum. He always said that. He has never made any secret of that. And he's made us pay thorugh the nose, but he has not gone through with his promises. We pay huge and we get ****e. We are hardly even competitive. He has someone else's money - ours and the investors who own the club with him via FSF, Krato etc. He is not willing to risk shedloads of money on the offchance that it works - if Bates is involved in the club after this "investment", any investor will exp[ect him to back any funds up front also. Bates won't do that, he will keep a tight rein. There is no bloody hotel or casino yet. That is all still a dream, in some architect's mind. And a pipe-dream if you ask me. The club has a binding contract that allows them to buy ER at a set price until 2028 from whoever owns it. If that has changed because the owner of the club is also the owner of the stadium but they have not made it public, that would really be news. But if Bates is not involved in the stadium ownership, then it is all an irrelevance. The price is £14m. Your contact knows jack. Unless he is in the room with Bates or is involved in the negotiations.
Just a thought but what if there are no behind the scenes talks going on? The club (i.e Bates) said it was looking for 'investment for the long-term future' not a takeover. We have no reason other than sheer hope to suspect anything more is happening....
Right. I have no idea why some people are obsessed with the ER and TA ownership as it relates to the club. As you say, unless something has changed, there are set price options on LUFC buying both back.
Interesting that the Pavilion has been separated from Leeds United, in fact Ken Bates is not even registered as the owner of the Pavilion. I do wonder how they managed to do that without a negotiable lease on Elland Road.
you have to admire papa smurf as he sure knows how to build an empire with other peoples money.....He will never relinquish his position as majority share owner in a million years, he wants total control while he is building his empire...
Buy the club cheaper and allow Bates to remain the owner of ER and TA and build us a new stadium and leave the old ****er sitting on a worthless investment

How ignorant can you be? Leeds have a lease agreement on ER and can't simply move. Just because I have an ear to the ground doesn't mean its **** info. And did I ever say its a him?

Wait till he tells you the deal has been signed and Warnock has £40 million to spend and a press release is being called, then see if you look forward to it when they tell us it has fell through and Warnock has resigned - you will want to rip him a new one then Joking aside I don't doubt BS has a contact much closer to the club than many of us, however I do question the accuracy of this unmentioned person...
