    Morning Folks,

Normality has been resumed, the coup is over, and ellandback is back......

I hate the fact that nobody knows what is going on behind the scenes. Lets be honest, there must be things happening behind the scenes, otherwise Colin would no longer be with us. He would have quit when we failed to raise the funds for Ward....

Robbie Rogers is getting back to fitness with LA Galaxy... I just hope he can make a real impact in pre season. Is he more than a squad player though???

Lee Peltier is on his way to ER for £300,000. Given the choice, would any prefer to have him over Ward???

Warnock has come out and said that he is not interested in bringing back Shaun Derry to ER.

What is the worst Leeds match you have ever seen? Were you at the game? Did you leave early? Did you boo the team? Why?

Paddy Kenny wants his future resolved by the end of the month. A host of other clubs are also interested, including Ipswich Town, but Halifax-born Kenny has indicated to friends that a return to his native county and a reunion with Warnock, under whom he played at both Bramall Lane and Loftus Road, is his preferred option

Morning - I guess Ward because he was first choice however feelings about Peltier on the Leicester forum are mixed although the one thing they do have in common is that £300k seems far too cheap. Peltier or Connolly, guess that doesn't need an answer. Glad we won't be seeing Derry back and finally I agree, surely Warnock would have spoken out by now if he was going to leave.

Unless this is a big stitch up by Bates to buy time before declaring the takeover deal is dead I am still fairly confident that things are proceeding in a positive manner. Look at it another way, how long does it take two men to sit around a table and argue out an agreed price? A fee must have surely been agreed for the club?? This would mean that it is in the hands of the buyer to ensure that agreed fee is indeed a fair one all things considered and it can't be easy going through a paper trail laid down my KB

Morning Ristac, agree. What I don't understand is why we couldn't raise 400k on Ward but can raise 350k for Peltier?

Morning all. I too am hoping that something's going on, because like you I would have expected Warnock to walk by now, and he's kept quiet now since he got back - unusual that. So either he's got no bottle and has decided to just pick up his wages and say nothing, or somethings afoot. I suspect Colin doesn't know how to keep shtum, so now we carry on waiting for good news. I've never known things so quiet at ER, because we normally have the club or manager quoted in the YEP, but its a wall of silence.

Ward wanted to stay in London as his missus didnt want to move away...hence why he chose palace over the teams chasing him

    Morning all <ok>

Ward was the better player. We did have the funds for him, we then stopped negatiations due to a possible take over, missed Ward for personal reasons so still have the cash for Peltier (this is all my opinion!)

The reason the takeover is taking time isnt because two men are negotating a price but rather there following the very confusing money trail all over the world to see what the potential income could be & ensuring when/if they buy the club Bates doesnt sting them & say something like 'I still own the pavillion & you are going to have to rent it off me etc'

Robbie Rogers? As it stands we could be seeing a lot more of him as we are lacking players.

Lets see what happens with Kenny. If he is not in within the next week or goes somewhere else then its alarm bells IMO because it seems he wants to come & Warnock wants him, so if theres a sticking point with Warnocks rebuilding plans it will certainly become more apparent then.

Morning all. Cosmic has it right. It wasn't that we couldn't raise the money, it was apparently Ward wanting to stay in London. Fair enough.

I think the worst Leeds match ever has to be some of our recent displays. Being turned over 7 - 3 at home, losing 6-4 after being 4-1 up. Some of the glory glory team would be turning in their graves if they weren't actually witnessing it for themselves.

Heyho & moving on, I agree that something must be going on in the background, as there is currently a fundamental mismatch between Warnock setting targets & actual players coming in. He dooesn't need the hassle. So if dear old Mr Papa Smurf is going back on his word about backing Warnock, Warnock will walk.

morning everyone, thanks ellandback for the welcome to not 606, I have only just sussed out the private messages so am sorry for the delay in thanking you !.
most fans on the leicester board say peltier was ok early season but got worse as it went on. my take on ward was that he always wanted to be down south for his family so fair enough.
at the end of the day, I want players here who want to play for leeds, and who try their best for us.

I actually thought that Rogers looked pretty good for those 10 minutes he played (didnt see the first time). He could be an impact and if he works hard could do something at leeds although even typing it I doubt it.

    Morning btw

Warnock said umpteen times, 3-4 players before I leave for holiday, some irons are in the pan and I expect them to materialise while I am away - He would have walked by now had takeover talks not still have been ongoing. Of course, it doesn't mean that the talks won't break down and then he walks. Loads of twitter **** going around with mixed reports and constant changes of direction by a few with as big an ego as Bates wanting to claim bragging rights that they called it correct. Morning to the (was going to say new member but see he joined 15 months ago) kitchenp

Too many rumours and the YEP are not helping matters by just repeating these rumours as stories. There were tweets last night from a player’s agent stating that Warnock is on his way as he feels he’s been shafted. A tweet from a couple of fans stating that Warnock flew out to Monaco yesterday. Why can’t the YEP get off their backsides and find out, how hard can it be. There used to be journalists who had contacts at airports who would tip them off if someone of interest was going through the system. LUST apparently have been speaking to players and getting their views about things and seem to be unhappy, but yet the YEP are not trying to verify anything and just persist in regurgitating other peoples gossip. We deserve to have some facts as this is the quietest period ever at ER, under Bates. Why has Warnock not opened his mouth since he got back, because he’s good copy normally, but he’s kept quiet too.

So we can only assume that something’s happening because its too quiet, we can only hope for good news. If Warnock does go we can only expect administration because there’s no money left as Bates has drained the coffers. The so-called investment/buy-out has collapsed and Snodds, Clayton, Ross and White will be sold, leaving nothing in the squad. Can imagine Pearce leaving too because he’s been sold a bag of spanners and a promotion winning team, his agent will be trying to get out of the deal for breach of contract. No chance of a decent manager coming in, because everyone will know theres no cash and no prospects, only a relegation dog fight and possible administration.
Lets hope for some good news and some proper reporting.

Because Portsmouth wanted it up front. Leicester don't need money and the fee for Peltier will be paid in instalments. Simples.

Don't cloud the **** we are currently going through with more unjustified rumours. Is there any proof that we never had the funds to pay up front? Reports are rife it has NOTHING to do with money this time, the guy wanted London, his wife wanted London - simple.

Diouf is heading the takeover. He'll appoint himself player/manager/captain/chairman, as well as coach driver and head groundsman. This will happen, it isn't just another twitter rumour. Check twitter if you don't beleive me, you'll find no new of it anywhere.

You missed of PR Guru, with his sparkling personality he could be a natural....

    PS.
I wonder if we were linked with Diouf to press McCormack and his agent into signing a new contract for sensible money??

If that worked then Ross should definately sack his agent, since they're both with Willie Mckay!
