    <laugh><laugh> Loving this. He does nothing to dispel the "thick footballers" rule does he?

    Give him his dues though. He has taken a lot of unjustified criticism in the lead up to this tournament. People who had clearly not bothered to watch him at Liverpool this season and see how much he has improved, were outraged that he got picked over Richards. Don't get me wrong I've been a big critic in the past, particularly with some of his positional play. But he was one of the few players to perform to a consistently high level last season in, lets face it, a poor Liverpool side. And he had a cracking first game against the French with only a sloppy back pass to crib him for.

    Its just a shame we have no decent wingers to play in front of him eh?!
