Or do they? If the Rangers situation was with the English FA they would be gone to the lower reaches of basement football and have to start again. HMRC have been after this for a long time now and probably wish it was in England rather than Scotland but beggars can't be choosers.

If Rangers do get thrown out of the SPL which they should, what will that mean for Scottish football. It has long been a 2 horse race which will now become one. They may as well just give the league trophy to Celtic before a ball is kicked. Looking at what they are saying is owed to the Taxman by Rangers it makes our total debt look skimpy in comparison. £70m was one figure I read or heard somewhere.

It does look bad for Rangers and I think the SPL have got a real problem in what to do with them.

Hello all been a long time since I have been on here and hopefully i will see more of you all.

Hello to ZYPH, who ever you are!

Nice to hear from you again Mouldy.......no double dealing knife in the back website wars on here......so just relax and have a pleasant time.....we might waffle along a bit....but we can get serious when there is Argyle news worth debating.

Mrs LaLa is still a slave of her Parrot.....Beau.......or Bobo I believe when she tries to sucker up to the poor legless bird....just look at that picture she shows us of the poor thing.......even painted the wall a matching colour.....so sad really.........

GSG is still a quiet little back water...pass through to get to M25,Poll Hill or Sevenoaks...I must stop there one day...but I can't think why.

Of course you know what sensible is up to.......telling it as it is on ATD and upsetting the regulars who think only of being persecuted by the nice people on PASOTI.

You could join our football prediction league this coming season....which successfully stopped BRB an interloper from Gillingham from winning last season.

Myself......I've been boring everyone about the missing summer....which would boost up my batteries for the coming season if the damn sun stayed out for two consecutive days at a time........they put up with me because of my advanced years....sad really.

See you around Mouldy....don't let the blighters get you down over there on the battle fields.

I think there will be a fair few clubs and sets of supporters worried by this one Devon. If it can happen to a big club like Rangers then what price the Championship and below in England. It will be interesting to see what Scottish football is made of now. Rangers fixtures must be a large chunk of income for a number of clubs in Scotland but the real thing that should happen is relegation to the bottom tier. Will they do what should be done or will the money rule as usual. HMRC must be cock-a-hoop right now.

I think that is the difference between the Rangers situation and what would happen in the English league. Rangers and Celtic hold massive support and provide a large income for the other clubs in that league, as I understand it the SPL clubs will have a say in what happens and in the end relegating Rangers could be a case of cutting your nose off to spite your face for them. In the English league the loss of a so called big team would have less impact to other clubs.

My understanding is that the other clubs vote on it mexijan. You are right about the impact being different but to treat Rangers any differently from the rest would be wrong in my book. I don't care one jot really if they relegate them or not but consistency should be the word here. Don't they also qualify for Europe having come second in the league? If so then as this will be a new club altogether will FIFA allow them to take up the position also.

Unfortunately money is the number 1 priority in football these days fair play, fans, tradition etc have long gone. In this case I think the clubs will vote to keep them even if they feel it is not the correct thing to do. If so I would guess there European campaign is safe, well at least until the first round
Cardiff City rebrand is another example of how cash is king just wondering how we as fans would have reacted in the same situation what if big money came in from China would we be happy to play in black and white and become the Plymouth Pandas? Personally I think Cardiff made the right call but I can understand the opposition to it as well. For me they will always be the Bluebirds but eventually the new identity will take over, 102 years of traditionally playing in blue gone.

    Hello Plymborn,

I haven't been to GSG for ages due to the fact that the father in law has moved over my way now and is settled only a 5 minute walk away. This is great if I have upset the boss as I have a key to his place and can go round for a cuppa and escape for a while.
