I have just ventured over to our soap dodging neighbour's board to see what the teams in the bottom half of the table and facing relegation are discussing.

The first thing that struck me was how dark it was over there. Almost as if they were living in some huge shadow!!

I couldn't find any articles on "Top Dogs in the North East" or "Lets laugh at Newcastle in the Relegation Scrap", but I did find one quite delusional thread about qualifying for Europe next year. I am sure that I read something similar this time last year on 606.

Anyway, I was disappointed to see that they seem to have some kind of campaign where they write several articles that are given titles that will provoke any visiting Newcastle fans into commenting. It's like some desperate attempt to increase their post count and make their board look busy. Like their stadium on matchdays, the place seems half empty.
Unfortunately it is so boring over there that they have to resort to "fishing" articles to liven the place (no pun intended) up a bit.

So if you are tempted to visit the hygenically challenged clowns from down the road, please treat them with some degree of sympathy. Most of their dreams have been shattered this season (Europe, Top Dogs, 6 easy points, Newcastle struggling) and their board is rapidly reflecting the run down, boring hovel that most of them inhabit in the real world.

I'd say they've been taken to the cleaners but that would be an ironic statement.

The ****ers aren't even allowed passports!

Was speaking to a mackem mate who works in their box office and apparently only 7000 have sent in their renewal packs for Season Tickets so far, they usually have about 15k by now.

Oh snap - I did the same from end of school until 6th form. I was a kitchen porter though.

Aye, I used to get stick from my Mackem mates until they realised their hard-earned was technically going towards my wages and towards NUFC <laugh>, especially when it was 1892 bar seats as well. They don't come too cheap!

Had one there when Albert scored his wonder goal against Man Utd. Was dead in line with Schmeichel when he stood motionless as the ball gently went over him and into the net.

What a beauty, I'll remember it forever.

Nice to hear a Sunderland fan on here being so complimentary about of our former player, given the hatred that some supporters of both clubs have towards each other.

We're always complimentary about some of your former players. Len Shackleton, Chris Waddle, Bob Stokoe... :)

As for the article, what goes round comes round. Bit rich being called a soap-dodger by a salad-dodger though.

Ha, Ha goof one Sid, got to say have an appreciation of some of your former players/managers. Bob Stokoe, Lee Clark, Shay Given, Danny Simpson, now see two can play that game.

Shay Given was class for us, mind. Clark was very solid and was winning the fans round when he did his T-shirt thing. Footballers never seem too bright. Simpson wasn't with us long (if I recall correctly), but Bob Stokoe has a statue at the SoL of course.

    Pop Robson was another goodie!
