i'm very pleased with our businer this summer, Kagawa and Powell will be good signings especially the latter considering there were alot of clubs interested in him, they will improve us, one more signing and i think we'll win the league next season.

Good signings no doubt although I'm not sure you should be pinning your hopes on Powell to win you leagues quite yet. Bear in mind that the Chavs and Citeh will end up spending three times as much as anyone else does so that's a bold claim still...everyone loves an optimist...don't they??

Mornin' Alan, happy with new signings?

Personally I don't know that much about either player I'll react then I see whatever impact they make later in the season.

They may not be household names yet, but United RARELY make such a purchase, and to be fair to United( and other teams with the exception of City) there is not a lot of choice or option out there, unless you willing to take a chance - like we did last year with De Gea, Jones etc, or stump up mega bucks for a prima dona the likes of Ballotteli(sp?) or Eden Hazard .... the suspected final cost of that transfer will be in the region of £85m.

Okay signings. Now, if we can sign a CM, that would be great. Powell will probably be sent on loan so he can get some game time under his belt but he is a talent and look forward to watching him progress as a footballer.

 

Brings me back to the area as it goes, been working over the bridge too much and my new lot are based Port Talbot. Can sleep in my own house every night. Not that i don't enjoy my occasional hotel nights away of course and definitely enjoy the golf and beer with me man sweats. Be working anywhere from Cardigan to Cardiff.

Who are you lot going to buy to fill the CM? Surley Scholes can't manage a whole season? When is Fletcher due back and is Fletcher and Cleverly enough?

Gives me an excuse for a visit into Wales.. Any golf courses in Barry?? I dont mean crazy golf either.. Never been to barry wouldnt mind a visit there..

 

Not actual Barry but in close proximity there are **** loads of high quality courses. The Glamorganshire, Dinas Powis, Wenvoe Castle and PGA Vale to name but four. Take your pick, there's even better down my end. Barry itself is a fair **** hole mind. Dilapidated old seaside 'resort'. I'm only a couple of miles from there this very second!
